Despite thousands of years of looking hard, nobody has ever been able to find "a soul" in any part of a human's biology. Certainly not half of one in a sperm cell or an egg cell. There is no evidence of any kind that there *is* such a thing as a soul. In fact, the more we look and discover about what makes up humans, the more we find that it's no different than that which makes up any other animal -- cells built up from instructions coded in DNA, which builds proteins, which then carry out their chemical interactions free of any divine influence. We're chemistry, pure and simple -- there's no evidence of anything else.

No, but one identical twin does. Since they split after conception (after the soul is received) they either split a soul or one has no soul.

A better explanation is that the soul is a manmade concept used by religion to render our consciousness immortal.

Edit: I am sure glad the Witchdoctor is not my doctor. Apparently a sperm cell contains trillions of neurons. Wow, our education system fails again. LOL!

No it does not. The soul is a human-made concept and is not planted or placed by God at the point of a child's first breath or at any point during life.

It is an organism, but as for a human soul, I believe that the moment of conception is when the soul enters the fertilized egg.

I don't believe is souls really. I think the existence of a "soul" is unnecessary. I believe that life is eternal. Always been-always will be. Life is not linear; starting at one point and ending at another. Life exists always in one form or another.

God decides when to put the soul in, but I believe it is before birth and after conception.

Nope--neither does a fetus, for it has no self-awareness. A fetus is given a soul with the first breath of air.

the soul doesnt enter the body until after the baby is born, thats how it usually goes anyways. those saying that babies have souls at conception are ignorant fools.
