I swear that sometimes all I feel like doing is shutting myself off from the rest of the world and not realy talking to any one anymore. Life is just so difficult!

Your right life is difficult but it can be a lot of fun too when you focus on the positive side of it. A lot of Adults would do anything to be a teenager again. Not me. I remember what it was like and would never return to that age group if given the choice. It does get better believe me! Your statement shows me you have a lot of heart and people that care when they are teenagers usually do want to shut down. Find something that makes you smile :-) and try to take the focus off whatever is getting you down.

You go through a lot of physical, mental, and emotional changes during adolescents. There are a lot of life tasks you face at this time as well. You will most likely be developing coping modes that you will tend to use for the rest of your life. It is a difficult time and most people that have been through will tell you they do not want to repeat that period in their life. Hormonal changes cause a lot of the emotional upheaval.

Develop a few friendships with trust worthy adults. They can make great sounding blocks and can help with suggesting some healthy coping mechanisms.

Almost all of us have been through what you have. Open up to someone you trust and who is stable. It will help, believe me.

It will continue to drive you nuts until you mature. Teenagers are full of raging hormones. It is the toughest part of anybody's life. You think your parents are un-cool and the dumbest people on earth. As hard as it is for you, it is just as hard on them. The best thing to do is keep a level head, realize you aren't the center of the universe and your parents really are on your side. Good luck. If I had a chance to go back to any age, I would avoid the teens.

Every one passes through this stage. Just imagine... had every teenager shutted him/herself off then u wouldn't have had the opportunity to see all the grown up population around. So be a braveheart & try to make the best out of every situation that life puts you in. You can do it. Good Luck. ENJOY your teenagehood...i mean adolescence(SENSE).

honey, life isn't difficult through your teenage years.

It's difficult until you die.

You'll get used to it, don't worry.

You know some japanese kids actually do do that? with the locking in a room thing.

This when you learn your coping skills for life. It doesn't get easier, probably gets harder, but you learn to deal with it.
