why don't Jews, Christans, and Muslims ever consider that God may have remained silent while evil has spoken?

These three religions each have roots in the Old Testament, and it is in the name of these three religions that more death, brutality, and destruction has been caused than any other purpose since these religions began. (Christianity retains much of the Old Testament in the Bible, and Islam builds on the Bible with the Quran.)

This is just a question I believe worth asking. It's meant to get ya'll to think about what's actually been done by your religions.

The world has many established religions, such as Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc.

If believers of each religion dogmatically state that their religion is the truth (implying that all others are false) how on earth can the planet ever have harmony, unless attitudes are relaxed and people accept that they have at best a 1-in-5 chance of being 'right'?

ALL religions can not ALL be correct in the way that they each believe they are. Why do these divides still exist?

i have 2 versions and disagree with the translation of both versions
the first reads
'i swear by the declining day.'........the declining day
the other
'by' [the token of] 'time '[through the ages]..........the time
prefering by measure of time?..in time?
then to verse 2..in the sura called in time it reads
'verilly man is in loss' should that read in debt or inowing?
in the declining day it says,,,'that perdition shall be the lot of man'
again i read 'debt 'not 'lot '
in verse 3 both agree with the translation..'except such as have faith and do'
then the divergent interpritations
we have in ..the time 'and do rightious deedsand join together in mutual teaching of truth and patience and consistancy'
and in verse 3 of the verse103 of the name declining day it reads
..'except for those who have faith and do good works and exhort each other to justice and fortitude'
i prefer the one where we mutually teach truth and patience and consistancy
i admit they sound closly th

i'm aware that torture is not prohibeted by the 10 commandments. Is this why the US government - which is essentially a christian regime - is ok with the partial drowning of prisoners?

Would jesus mind us torturing a terrorist - if it meant we could save innocent lives. Or would jesus always say that torturing our fellow humans is wrong?

I'm actually a female to male transsexual, but I am attracted still to lesbian women. (I got labeled a butch lesbian before my transition, and have always dated lesbians). So, I have a lot of friends that are gay and lesbian and I'm still involved in the gay community. As a matter of fact, I used to be the public relations officer for our campus glbt student organization. However, I don't act like a "player", I don't proposition people for sex, I don't get extremely drunk in public every night, I don't have orgies, I'm NOT NOT NOT into vindictiveness or drama, I'm not a bar fly, and I'm not into drugs. It just seems like most of the gay community here does all the aforementioned things. So, do I just not fit in as a member of the gay community or what's going on?
