i have 2 versions and disagree with the translation of both versions
the first reads
'i swear by the declining day.'........the declining day
the other
'by' [the token of] 'time '[through the ages]..........the time
prefering by measure of time?..in time?
then to verse 2..in the sura called in time it reads
'verilly man is in loss' should that read in debt or inowing?
in the declining day it says,,,'that perdition shall be the lot of man'
again i read 'debt 'not 'lot '
in verse 3 both agree with the translation..'except such as have faith and do'
then the divergent interpritations
we have in ..the time 'and do rightious deedsand join together in mutual teaching of truth and patience and consistancy'
and in verse 3 of the verse103 of the name declining day it reads
..'except for those who have faith and do good works and exhort each other to justice and fortitude'
i prefer the one where we mutually teach truth and patience and consistancy

According to my Quran...Surah 103 reads:

By (the promise of) time (infinite),
Surely, man is in loss
Except such as (those who) have faith
And do righteous deeds
And (join together)
And of Patience and perseverance.

The last of prophets in the order of time was Malachias.

Latin Vulgate
Douay-Rheims Bible

Second Epistle Of Saint Peter
Chapter 2

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment

11 Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment. 12 But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption, 13 Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you: 14 Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction

you have to know that what you have is the interpretation of the qur`an and not the qur`an itself ,,each interpreter say it as he understand and both may be right at the same time or one only is right try to get authunthicated one
