Personally, as an atheist, I thought at first this was a parody on creationism, and found hit quite funny. Then when I found it was serious, I found it all the more hilarious. What do you think of these guys in the video? Do you understand why an atheist would find it funny? And do any of you christians find it amusing?

There were once huge celebrations at this time of the year and followers of earth based religions still hold it sacred. Do you think that Christmas will one day be treated by the general public as just another excuse for candy or will we always hold it sacred?

Sin is a very real problem. It has always been the major problems facing society, and thousands of years and scientific progress have not changed the situation. It is man's selfishness and greed that cause many to be hungry, produce broken homes and create a drug problem. She was Catholic, but not practicising, beforehand. Now she seems quite devoted to the Bahai faith. I'm curious about it but dont want to question her about it as when I do she's not very good at explaining it. She seems to be a much more settled and content person since being involved in this religion so I'm not concerned, just curious.

...but not holidays that are actually celebrated by millions around the world like Victoria Day, Boxing Day, and Remembrance Day? Not even Veterans' Day for the US is there. How about Canada Day and national holidays from all the other countries represented at the bottom of this page?

this is going to be my first question. thanks a lot in advance for your time and attention.

here it goes:

I understand most americans use expressions like "I like to play" and "I like playing" interchangeably.

but aparently in england they do not and i really dont understand the diference.

ive look it up and in england the general usage is "i like + ing" and "I like +to verb" is more restricted in meaning.

ive seen this example:

I like cooking ( i enjoy that activity)
I like to cook beef on sundays ( why here they use the "to"?)

i dont understand it.

or " when i go to someones room i like to knock on the door" here it means ( i think its the right thing to do) which is straightforward and i get it)

could someone explain this difference in meaning to me becouse i dont really get it.
