it is possible only through the atoning blood of Jesus, which was shed on the cross for the remission of our sins. accept Him and his FREE gift of salvation and He will make you holy in the eyes of God. you can not be holy in your own merits. only through Him. God bless you and if i can help please e-mail me .

Yes, I am holy, But not perfect yet, I am still learning & growing in theLord. You ask is it possilbe to be Holy, I will add onto you question the word Perfection, & yes that is in the process but only with the Bride, The wise Virgins, Now I will give you just a few scriptures, & these scriptures are only a few of many I can give, Turn To Ephesians 4:11-17 You can read it, I will not type it all, time will not allow, And he(God) gave some Apotles, Some Prophets, Some Evangelists, Some Pastors & some Teachers. For what, why did God give this 5-fold ministry for 12: For the PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS--------13: Till we ALL come in the unity of the FAITH.--------14: That we henceforth be no more children tossed to & fro, And carried about with every wind of Doctrine.---- Read Eph.4:30 And Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemtion. Eph. 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the lord. Go to Isa. 52:8 it speks about we shall see EYE TO EY, who will see eye to eye, THE BRIDE ONLY, I could go on all day with scriptures concerning your question. God will have a Bride here made Perfect, Before Jesus can take us up to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

I think it is a very tough question but an excellent one at the same time!! Basically, once your epent of your sins (and mean it) you are forgiven. From that moment on, you are Holy in Gods eyes, until you sin again...which may only be seconds, minutes, hours etc. This is why you will find so many Christians are always repenting, because we are always getting things so wrong. I would never presume to say that I am Holy, however I do know that when I repent and I feel forgiven I feel a lot closer to God, so maybe I'm Holy then!!

The Bible states that anyone who possesses the Holy Spirit is holy. The Bible speaks of a holy man of God, holy ones, a holy people, a holy nation, and holy brothers.
That is why Mary is blessed (holy). The angel Gabriel called her, "Full of grace" and, "The Lord is with you."
With love in Christ.

i dont believe that we can be as holy as God in this life due to our sinful nature, i take this to mean that to strive each day to do Gods will and turn from sinfulness is as close as we can get to being holy in this sense.
reading the lives of the saints you can get a better working definition of strivng to achieve holiness thru prayer and sacrifice but yet even they were not perfect, in our desire too do the holy will of God i believe his grace sanctifies us and empowers us to become what we term as holy.
but if holiness means to be sinless then we cannot be holy, only Jesus and his blessed mother can be called sinless, therefore God is looking for our obediance and cooperation and not that which is beyond us.
the short of it is ,the closer we come to God the holier we will be.

Well we cant be holy as in perfect. The meaning for this word in that scripture means holy, and a saint. It doesn't mean perfect. Even Paul wrote in Romans 7:15 that his flesh is a problem. We are in the flesh and the flesh is not pleasing to God.
The meaning of conversation means behaviour, not our speech.
So to me holy here means our behaviour should be that of maturity. We should mature in our growth to the Lord. Spiritual maturity.

Well, I do not really have a proper definition of "Holiness," but I'll try. On our own, I don't believe we can be Holy. But the belief of Christianity (and I am a Christian) is that because Christ died for our sins we can become Holy, by His Grace alone.

I don't think anyone can be truly holy. I think it is meant for us to strive for holiness. Try to live our lives as Jesus did. We are human and we will sin. God knows that. That's why Jesus came and died on the cross. We just have to ask Him to forgive us, turn from our sin, believe in Him, and try to live life as He did. Then we can have a chance to be in heaven. We will not be "holy" until we are in our purified bodies in heaven. I don't think any of us could look Him in the eyes if we were given the chance to see Him face to face. I think we would be flat on our faces worshiping Him.

Holiness to me equals love in your heart. If you act from a feeling of love for others and not selfish concerns, I think you will be holy. Of course it helps God to guide your actions and if you do this, how can you go wrong!

Being Holy means that you accept Jesus as your savior and abide in his word which is the word of God and then Jesus introduces you to the Father and you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you and you mind it.
