Well, it is that time of year again, and I am being asked to put togethere the proverbeal Christmas Wish list from my mothere in law. She has a wild sense of humor, and normally, I am able to come up with anything to make her laugh. I have looked the net over and over for days to find a very fake, very creative, and very funny christmas list for myself(nurse) and husband( US Active Marine).
I get tired of being asked to make one each year, so I thought I would send a funny one, but I have a blank mind, and no resources on the net to find any....
I want SEVERAL, and by SEVERAL, I mean at least 20, each. I know thats a lot, so do not attempt it if its too much for you.
SHe is a pastor, she lives in MD, and had 4 kids....
Thinking caps on!! MINE MUST BE LOST!!!
Thanks to anyone who is helping me!!!

Why is God such a Coward? Why does God hide in the shadows of life instead of making his presence known to all clearly without question? What is God afraid of? What kind of God would make his will so ambiguous that endless numbers have killed each other in defense of differing positions of what is God's true will? Why does God allow his "works" to be misconstrued as pure happenstance? Why did God give us 5 senses to explore his world then deceive us to make the world appear much older than his "word" says it should be? Why would people worship a God that has been nothing but a deceiver and coward at best?

A religious education teacher told me this when I was still in school.

I have a few problems with this. My brother died very young. Does this mean he will go to Hell as he was to young to ask to be saved.

Also, what about people whit mental disabilities that prevent them from being able to ask to be saved.

On top of this there are so many millions of people who are born into a situation it is unlikely they will ever even know much about Christianity. How should they know what to do?

A good portion of our genetic code has no apparent purpose ... that is until you account for millions if not billions of mutations that no longer have a phenotype in modern humans.

Would a perfect designer really leave a bunch of bent over nails in the perfect piece of furniture?

I'm from the Northeast. To me, Christmas means cold weather, snow, chestnuts roasting by the fire, etc. The songs I hear reflect this, and the decorations do too.

Obviously it's a great deal warmer in Texas. How does this affect how Christmas is regarded? Is Santa pictured as someone with warmer clothes? Do songs and decorations reflect the warmer climate?

Please try to be specific and respectful.

My answer:
By blocking (delaying) stem cell research they are preventing finding a cure for many, many diseases that cause untold numbers of humans to suffer. Their only reasoning for this is a belief that a tiny ball of 150 or so undifferentiated cells has a “soul”. (It should be noted that the brain of a fly as around 10,000 cells.) Unfortunately it can’t be established that even souls exist so these so called souls are more or less wishful fantasies on the part of the religious. This is sad bordering on criminal.

My answer:
It seems that religion was important at one point. It helped early man to form cohesive societal units or tribes. However we have evolved beyond our need for religion.

I have this 'male friend' who i am totally crazy about. he doesnt know how he really feels about me, (we have kissed etc) but i dont see him very often (dont even know when i am seeing him again) there are little things he does that make me think he likes me, but he has never said it, sometimes doens even show it.

That is the first thing...is this normal?

the other thing is his family is much better off financially than mine, does this matter? i feel like it does (not that he has made me think this) its just how I feel. Am i being silly?

does it matter how much money a person has/ hasnt got when u r seeing someone? what about marriage? (i am not thinking about marrying him i am just asking)

Is this expected? Is this proper? It would seem to be a helpful act, and the attendees would have something to take away. But listening to a poet read is different from reading while listening. What if more attend and he runs out of copies? And would the poet have copyright concerns? What's the norm?
