You are completely right.
The beginning of wisdom pushes up the learning of the holy verses and translate them into action.

Yeh there is a way to say things that gets everyone's back up and we all start off on the wrong foot.....however yes I hope I do but actually many christians today don't really fear God if they did then false prophecy wouldn't exist which can completely wreck lives. People saying: 'God said this about you' when really they just had a thought and made the rest up and the recepient instead of weighing that word against scripture goes off and perhaps makes radical changes to their life that God wouldn't have wanted them to make.
Yes it is the beginning of wisdom so many christians aren't wise at all then....I'm not getting at you by the way but I do think Christians could do with matching what they do with what they say......God Bless JB

I fear the lord about as much as I fear stepping on a crack in the sidewalk. The beginning of wisdom is to learn that the "Lord" is a fiction, on which any time or effort spent is completely wasted.

The day will come when I will be before the Almighty God of creation. I will be on my own, and I will be humble, trembling and on my face before HIM. You bet I fear the Lord my God. That fear is a fear of unrivaled respect and awe as I cannot comprehend Gods power and perfection. Yes He is a God of love and promises but like an ant standing at the foot of a man... so shall I be.

It's only the beginning of wisdom if you accept a 2000 year old fairy tale to be wisdom.
I prefer the wisdom of experience. It nicely compliments the knowledge of learning.

I don't think that that is the right terminology. Don't fear the lord respect him. He doesn't want you running around being afraid of him. Doing things just because you think you might get punished. Respect him, honor him, be friends with him but never fear him. This is the path to understanding. Understanding, knowledge, courage, faith, peace. Peace to you.

No, it is a part of living. The real question is do you fear death, this is where the problem lies. If you fear the end you will not enjoy what comes before it.

I do not "fear" the Lord in the sense of hiding in my closet & shaking. No.
I deeply respect and have reverence for the Lord- Which is what I believe the Bible is telling us. If we are in right standing with God, there is no reason to fear him. he is after all, our Father.
