I have the opportunity to go to a psychic on Saturday with a group of friends but I’m not sure I always thought that they were all either fake or got there gift from evil. What do you think?

The word "psychic" comes from the Latin word "psuche", which
means soul, or self. It refers to the ability of the spirit in
everyone.
Just because one has more experience with using their
abilities, doesn't make them a GOOD person.
Most psychics I've met, give you a little tease, and then won't
BUST A GRAPE without MONEY!
They tell me all kinds of fantastic things, like they see all these people behind me, and I know where GOLD is! But don't have enough belief in thier own readings to help me advance, and then they might have money and prestige too.
Go ahead and go. It will be a learning experience. But
trust in YOURSELF. You have those abilities TOO!

Get into the Word of God (Bible). Join a Bible Study! The only TRUTH! Jesus is your answer. It is so interesting to learn and read who Jesus was and is.
Do not open your door to satan by going to psychics and fortune tellers...It will only lead you to destruction. Plus they will take all the money you have. Trust me I know. Here is what God tells us:
Col 2:8
8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.
Find a Christian church in your neighborhood. You will be with Believers and they will encourage you and pray for you. Your life will slowly fall into place for the good. You will have undescribable joy!
Ask Jesus in your heart. You have nothing to lose. Plus, it is a free gift! Doesn't cost you a cent!

It is so funny how a lot of these people here are telling you they are fakes when they have no proof. I saw one a few weeks ago and she was very spiritual and she was right on everything. Being psychic is a gift from God , it is how you use the gift whether it makes it bad or good.

your answer to your question is absolutely right!It does come from evil spirits! Humans do not posess those powers, and to predict the future, or to be able to tell others what their future would bring, but the reason why some may seem to be able to do some of this, is because the evil, wicked, spirits give them some power, but that does not come, without concequences, I would encourage you to keep well away, if you know what is good for you, going to a psychic, may, seem, like a bit of fun, to you or your friends, but, you may end up paying dearly for it! I know of people wh have paid dearly and I don't mean money wise either.

Does anyone in your group know the psychic? Be careful. If you are going just for the fun of it, fine. Bring a pad of paper and take notes of everything he/she says. I was like you, thought they were fake, but my niece's best friends mother is one, and I finally got talked into going. I will be going back. She made a believer out of me. She 'knew' stuff, no one else did but me, and she named names. They can be fun, just be cautious.

There is nothing wrong with psychics most of them are fake but if your going with friends have a good time maybe she''ll say something worth your time

a psychic isnt anything more than someone with a more developed intuition ... which is something we all have
no it is not evil
i have been doing psychic readings for many years now , and never once have i found anything but love ... and i am a good person
i have known people to be doing both psychic and mediumistic readings for 30/40 years with nothing but love come to them also
however ...
i would not advise taking anything they tell you about the future as certain ... as our future is not set yet
and no psychic worth their salt would tell you anything negative anyway
a psychic reading should be guidance about life ... nothing more xxx

You do get the odd one that is an out and out fake but they are not all bad!
Best to go on a recommendation from a trusted source.

I wouldn't do it even for fun. I think it is bad and a scam. If you want your money just given to someone telling you a story, like in the wizard of oz, you must be rich. I don't like anyone telling my future. I make my own future.

I think you don't need the fortune teller. Let God be your guide. have faith that 'what will be will be'.
I still dabble with fortune telling from time to time and i always feel I am wasting my time when i do it.
