Well my brother is in AA and my mom's in Al-Anon and they were saying that me going to Alateen might be a good thing for me. Both of my parents were adult children of alchoholics and they're trying to not raise my brother and I that way. They think that if I go to Alateen, it would make me understand the disease better, and though I really want to and it sounds interesting, I'm not a really social person. Sure I have my friends, but when/if I go to Alateen, I wouldn't know anybody. Can anybody give any suggestions about either bei.ng in Alateen or something that might make me more apt to go? I might be able to bring a friend of mine whos parents are in AA, but I don't know if I should.

Give your thoughts on Alateen, or something to help me please. If you are not apart of AA, Al-Anon, or Alateen, or don't have a relative in one of the mentioned groups, could you please refrain from answering, I really want help with this and some random answer wouldn't help.

If it does, doesn't that suggest that religion's just something people made up to help them deal with the terrible fact that they're going to die one day and they want someone to tell them that they aren't going to "really" die?

Ok anyway my son came home from his freinds house with 20 dollars HE FOUND IT IN THE FRONT YARD!
OUR FRONT YARD!
And he went to the dollar store.
He came back and my hubbie said that Timmys parents came by because they lost money and they are accusing my son of it?
But he found it in the front yard how do i get them to beleive that he didnt steal it?

I mean come on. We get 1000 words here. Im not going to write you a history book. Even if I did, it's not possible to write down everything that has ever happened. I am simply sharring my biased view of History as you are sharring yours. Theres no such thing has a non-biased view of history because mere factual selection is inherently biased.

Please don't insult people's intelligence without merrit. I bet a lot of people don't realize that Columbus didn't discover that the earth was round. In fact, it was a well known fact. The curvature of the Earth is an easy thing to test with the simplests of instruments and/or observations. Simply watch a ship rise up and over the horizon and you'll see how the Earth curves. People aren't as stupid as you might think.

Anyways, the fact remains. This country was formed and based on Christian values and doctrines and we can see the influence all the way into today. Doesn't matter what a hanful of men might have believed at the time.

i want to know every ones opinion on this topic mine is this. when we die i beleive we all go to something better no matter who you are. i bleive this is hell and there is no other and when we die we stop suffreing. why would we suffer on earth and then go to more sufering?
