My son's birthday is Nov. 27 he'll be 3 this yr. so I've already started to buy stuff b/c other wise I'll either not have enough money or time to get everything for everyone. Especially him...Plus I'm 34 weeks preggo and the baby is probably going to come anytime now. So besides needing everything a baby girl needs I want to buy her some christmas presents also. I already bought all my nieces presents. And I know what I want to get my husband but he comes last lol...Kids come first...
So I guess my advice is start now or you'll be like me every other year besides this one hopefully and be shopping still at 6p.m on christmas eve when they are kicking you out the door.

I usually start shopping the week before Christmas, I would much rather be in the Christmas spirit than be first in line back in November as that is way too commercial for me.
I am sorry to hear you have a broken soul.

Well i guess that depends on how much money you have and how many you buy for. My family don't have hardly any money and alot of people to buy for so i usually do the after christmas shopping thing. Then when ever i see stuff on clearence that would work really good as a present and it is at a good price i buy it and stick it in the closet. Then i don't have so much to buy when the season rolls around.

I usually start picking up things during the month of August and by the end of October I'm completely finished except for those special friends who love homemade cookies, cakes, candies and pies. I wait until December in order to make these "fresh" which is quite easy to do because I plan my vacation just before the wonderful Christmas holidays.

ideally when the january sales start and the early start of the year but thats far too way ahead and shops have sales and bargains all year round, if you start in october it gives you 3 month to get head start and shop around, play about online and see what offers you can get and from what shops.. best of luck xxxxxxxx

Whenever you feel like it, not trying to be jerk, You know when you see something and think that someone will like it don't give it too them until Christmas. If you buy something in April hold on till Christmas. Not that am any good at that because I want to give it to them right away.

The best time for Christmas shopping is right after the holiday itself. This is when alot of great sales go on. :-) Put me on your Christmas List! And I'll put you on mine! :-)

The day after christmas when everything is on sale for your staple items. I like to find candle sets, pretty containers I can fill with home-made goodies. You can pick up art sets things like that for kids, but save your large purchase items for after thanksgiving..kids and teens often change their minds about what they want from year to year, even day to day! lol
