Yes. I"m Roman Catholic and I firmly believe that. People tend to forget that the first christian religion was the Catholic church and through human error (i.e. I don't like this teaching so I'm gonna make my own church) separated and formed the other branches of Christianity. We were first and we were the ones Christ created.

When individuals seem at Christianity they quite often see best the obvious church. Christ is the pinnacle of the church, obvious and invisible, which involves the saints (the stored) in heaven and any ot the ones present process purification earlier than their access into heaven. Men rule the imperfect obvious church, and so it's stressed with the faults of mankind. Many suppose that there must be a common council to reform the best way the church is ruled. I have heard a few say that the cardinals and the curia must be brushed aside. Maybe all of the bishops on this planet must be the electors of the bishop of Rome. That could be extra democratic. Why must all of the popes be Italian or European? I suppose we'd like a Brazilian or American or Canadian Pope. Or why no longer an African or Asian Pope. In 1500 Mateo Ricci, a Portuguese Jesuit, went to China as a Christian missionary. He attempted to get Rome to allow the mass stated in Chineese. They stated no. Later, on the Council of Trent it used to be encouraged that the mass used to be to be stated within the venacular. 500 years later at Vatican II it ultimately occurred. What fools we mortals be.

The Catholic Church, not mass, is the church that Jesus started with appointing St. Peter as high priest, who later became the first pope of the Church. They were called Christians because they followed Christ but when some men decided not to follow the pope's authority and broke off from the first church, the first church called itself the Catholic Church because 'catholic' means 'universal', meaning it is the church for all by Jesus.
The Kingdom of God was at hand meant that God will destroy evil and good will prevail. This will be done when Jesus comes again.

The Catholic church is a non-Christian cult.
They claim Mary was sinless, but God's Word says ALL have sinned. That is just one example of many showing how the Catholic church distorts God's Word.

Hmm, I didn't know that Midge. Interesting thought. He is, after all, there where two or more gather in His name. And He is present in the Consecrated Bread and Wine. So your statement does make sense.

How could he be talking about the Catholic Mass when Catholics didn't even exist yet. In his time, his religion was just a cult.

How on earth do you know what Jesus meant? I'm not trying to be rude, but when WAS the last time you sat down over tea and cookies to discuss what he meant by anything with him?
Trying to interpret anyones' words - anyone at all - is a mistake we humans like to make.
