Personally, I believe that it doesnt matter if a child was born out of wedlock. That child would enter into Heaven based upon his actions throughout his life and not if he was concieved within wedlock or not. However, I have heard debate on this and I would like to hear your opinions.

Such idea contradicts many verses in the bible

John 5
28. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29. and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
Romans 2:7 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Revelation 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

According to many reference materials, including the textbook of my son in high school, the following are facts:

1.There is no designer nor maker of life. It came by chance. A strong lightning just happened to hit a group of protein. These proteins eventually arranged themselves and became simple life. Simple life then became complex life.

2.Plants and animals behave either to adapt or survive. Only the fittest survive, the weak should be eliminated.

3.Mathematicians however say that the chance for no. 1 to occur is 1/ 10 x 9 zeros.

A questioning mind would naturally ask:

1.If all life forms happened by chance, then why is it that the human sexual organ is not found in our forehead? Or, why is it that our mouths are not located on our hands. Such locations would save time and energy. Further they would appear to enhance adaptation. right?

Hi everyone:) i am a male turkish cypriot 17yrs old , and i have been grown up in a environment that loves different cultures, and today when i was at college everyone was asking , what race are you and that this etc, and i said im cypriot! and there was another girl that said omg "Im your new best Pal! I'm greek" then i said i am Turkish-Cypriot, and her face changed from happy to Ok-ish and she just bort up the conflict between the greeks and turks years ago, and said things "you stole our land! and i retaliated by saying well if nothing was done we wuda all been killed" it upset me to see there was still conflict between the cultures even tho i love greek culture ..... and then she slapped my back in a suposedly jokingly manner , but she was all happy go lucky about it ,, but i saw some hatred, the thing im asking you people today is ,is there still that hate there, from the wars before ,, please give me your views ??thanks

Many believe that reincarnation is the evolution of the soul...that through experiences our soul grows. If we evolve as a species might we also not evolve spiritually? Could we be in a never ending chain of lives? Where would it end? Could we all not be "god", or rather pieces of god, experiencing mortality and striving to reach spiritual perfection to be rejoined with the source? In this case god would exist, but in what form...unconscious energy? Similar to a deist belief....that god is not involved....but possibly is us?

I know I'm rambling, but if anyone has serious ideas, theories or theologies along any of these lines to share I would love to hear them!

Growing up my parents were very against religion. The sight of a church or a cross disgust them. Going through traumatic situations and always coming out better I have believed in a higher power and it has helped. I have seen many what I believe connections to God and I would like to convert to a religion. To be honest I do not know much about religion and do not understand any bible I have read. So, I am wondering how do I find and get involved with a religion?

Thank You for any help you can offer.

Example: Ecclesiastes 10:20 " Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber; for bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter". Is that our equvilance of " A little bird told me"?

It seems that both believers and non-believers both have quoted the Book of Leviticus quite often on here. I was just curious, obviously, this particular book of the Bible has some items no longer followed by most modern Christians. Is there a standard practice for following certain tenets while overlooking others? Do other religions do this as well?

I work full-time, go to school full-time, and have a very hectic family life. However I would love to do any volunteer work for organizations that would need someone to make phone calls, data entry, and mailings. I can do all of this from my office because I have internet access, updated computer, fax, copier, printer, and land line.
If any organization is looking for a volunteer to help with clerical work that I can do from my office let me know.
My email is info@jifitness.com

Thank you.

In this question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsnH_UANJdJsPpNPaDRLStzsy6IX?qid=20061018125426AANVqMo
I told the poster that I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus. He responded with "Of course you believe in Jesus' divinity."

Um... what? No I don't.

As you can see, the debate went back and forth for a while. No matter what I said, he pet insisting that I must believe that Jesus was divine.

Why does he think that he can tell me what I believe better than I can? Is this a common Christian trait, or just his own personal delusion? I'm not trying to be disrespectfull here, I'm just confused as to why he thinks he can tell me I believe in Jesus when I very firmly do not.

It's this really hot Pakistani guy in my AP American Literature class and he's been flirting with me lately alot. He asked me out but, I told him no because I just got out of a really bad relationship. He was kinda of pissed and he asked me "do you only like Black guys?" I told him my ex was Salvadorian. I told him that I may go out with him but I don't want to rush it. I need more time to heal from my break-up.

It's not meant to insult. I always consider mormons as Christians because you believe in Jesus. Yes you also have the book of Mormon, but you still believe in Jesus therefore you are Christian, right?
