1.Have you read news accounts of the Jesus Seminar's opinions? What was your response to what was reported? Did the articles give you the impression that the Seminar's findings represent the opinions of the majority of scholars? What dangers do you see in relying on the news media in reporting on issues of this kind?

2. As you conduct your own investigation of Jesus, should you rule out any possibility of the supernatural at the outset, or should you allow yourself to consider all the evidence of history even if it points toward the miraculous as having occured? Why?

3. Boyd said, "I don't want to base my life on a symbol. I want reality...." Why do you agree or disagree?
Is it enough that Jesus is a symbol of hope, or is it important for you to be confident that his life, teachings, and resurrection are rooted in history? Why?

Well I think so, he preaches so much about Jesus being on his side and all, but he certainly doesn't follow Christ's words. If Christ was alive he would have made sure to snuff out all non-believers. Christ would make sure that everyone knows why he burned on the cross for us, our sins so we can live in this world and pretend to be nice to non-Christian souls.

I understand that the internet isn't always the best place to find answers to life decisions, but I'm at a loss. My life with Brandon I. has been heavenly until I spotted him in a video being sodomized without protection from a brutish looking African American. Then when other men entered and engaged in sexual activity with my lifemate without protection as well I was dumbfounded. If it wasn't true love and the way he manhandles me nightly there would be no question as to me leaving him. Of course the benzo's, barbituates, and other various hypnoerotic drugs he has access to like ecstasy, rohypnol are a serious concern but I must admit I have indulged before. I haven't confronted him yet. Should I? What should I say? I don't feel strong enough to leave him. Thanks for anyone's help.

I've kind of experienced this with japanese people( foreigners coming to study or visit) i've met here in america. If they are good at english, and you study japanese and try to speak it, they are not really impressed or interested. The ones that are english beginners, are so happy and interested if you speak their language.. but the others don't even want to share their language.. they only want English all the time. It's like they don't care about your interest in their culture. If i meet such a person, how can i let her understand that sharing both languages is better than me just speaking english?

Why are some people just so evil? They don't care about anything but their twisted sense of reality, and purposely hurt others, ruin their lives by their senseless acts, and don't give a damn? Does this stem from the way they were raised? And if not, why didn't their parents instill some morals? I just don't understand.

Baptisim is a material, worldly practice. Why is that a factor in getting to heaven if it has nothing to do with spiritual practice. And if you say it washes away our original sin than see my first sentance. Something of this world like water cannot wash away our sin. I'm curious.
