Considering that Christianity preaches love, that all people should love and forgive, I'd imagine it IS bad to HATE the devil because hating isn't something you should be doing.

Instead, you should forgive the devil and love him anyway no matter what the devil has done or will do.

Ok. Let's say the devil exists. Then with that assumption we must also say that God exists. Therefore, to answer this question we must go to the Word of God for the answer.

Prov 8:13 says, "To fear the Lord is to hate evil."
Romans 12:9 says, "Hate what is evil."

The source of all evil according to scripture is the devil. Therefore, according to the Word of God it is not only not bad to hate the devil, we are commanded to do so. Hate in and of itself is not sin. Similarly, we are told in scripture to "be angry and sin not." So it is possible to be angry and not sin. Likewise, it is possible to hate and not sin. As long as we are hating evil.

No, i don't hate the devil, initially because of the fact there isn't any such ingredient because of the fact the devil and secondly i could never hate all human beings or something. How can hate be the equivalent of homicide? you're able to hate somebody adequate to homicide them, even though it quite is impossible for hate and homicide to signify the comparable ingredient - one is an emotion and the different is the verb for 'to kill'.

I would think the Devil wants you to hate. There's a thin line between love and hate.

I love God and Jesus Christ who are pure and honest, so that means that I must
despise the devil, because he is a liar and a cheat and all that is evil.
Hence the name God=Good
devil=evil see one letter changes what each is.

The Bible says we should not hate any man. Hatred itself is a sin. So, I would not say that I hate Satan. I just say that I do not like him because he is evil.
