Why aren't all people blessed with a conscience?

Why are some people just so evil? They don't care about anything but their twisted sense of reality, and purposely hurt others, ruin their lives by their senseless acts, and don't give a damn? Does this stem from the way they were raised? And if not, why didn't their parents instill some morals? I just don't understand.

I'm talking about rapists, murderers, people who torture others for the hell of it.

It is classified a a mental illness. They are sociopaths. They have a congenital absence of conscience. It is not curable but can sometimes be controlled with intensive therapy and medication. These people never understand right vs wrong. The only regrets they ever have is being caught and made to pay.

This is a several factor question . First the parents may not have to much themselves and next the child may have been born that way It happens . The other factor is that there is something inside the person that is crying for help and knows no other way of asking for it. Trying to help them sometimes causes more problems than it solves . If it becomes to much of a problem let them go and get on with your life.

Well we need Lawyers, Politicians, Generals, and CEOs'. For people like that, conscience apparently just gets in the way. So sad.

You're asking about meaningless generalizations. Who are "these people" and where have you interacted with them? I've never heard of such people or met them, personally.

I know of many people with whose ethics i disagree, but that doesn't mean that they don't have any morals - it means they have different morals.

And conscience isn't something you're "blessed" with. It's something you learn.
