In Joshua 10 v 12-14 it states that Joshua asked god for the sun to stand still at Gabhaon and the moon to stay in the valley of Ailon, while the Israelites exacted their righteous vengeance upon the Amorrites. Now according to Ptolemy, the sun has a proper motion as it traverses the sky annually from west to east, while the firmament or Primum Mobile containing the fixed stars, sun moon and planets rotates diurnally. If the proper motion of the sun only had been stopped, nightfall would have occurred 24/365 hrs or 3.95 min early!? So which one was it, and is this yet another example of biblical truth disproving so called Scientific fact as with the Genesis account of the creation compared with evolution? I mean it proves the Earth is the centre of the Universe doesn't it?!

I always feel like I'm a clumsy, bumbling giant. I am a tall girl, but I would like to be more feminine in the ways I walk, sit, move, etc. I go to a school, and I envy the other girls, because they are all really articulate, poised, and self-confident. They do everything in a feminine, yet confident way. And I feel like a schlump. How can I develop that natural gracefulness? When I'm "being myself", I feel like I look and move too sloppy. Taking dance classes won't happen, because my time is really quite limited (I'm lucky to even have this evening free tonight!) How can I put cross a better image?

Ok here is the deal, my girlfriend (1 year) has really pretty feet but will not paint her toenails saying that she prefers the "natural" look. I've told her that its a huge turn on for me, but still no luck. Anyway...this week we have a hypnotist coming to our school and he is a sort of friend. My girlfriend wants to volunteer and I guess I'm asking two things 1. Would it be possible for him to leave a post hypnotic suggestion that she will like painting her toenails? Would it work? 2. Should I get him to do it. Thanks!

Some churches have a 4 ft. tree in the back of the church and have papers with a childs name on it or an adult who is in need...
For those interested , they can pick a name and inside the paper is mentioned what that person needs or wants....It might be a dinner for christmas. or a robe, or some slippers, or a toy....Or a gift for someone else.....Some churches do the shoe box idea where they decorate a shoe box and put toys, pencils, cards, socks...they fill it up for the children of the church with a tag that says girl, and the age or boy, etc...Or they send it to people in need in the apalachians, or somewhere...Good idea

in the bible God does not Promise perfect days
and in context he explains what life will be like for Man
like I do not promise that the sun will always shine in Mans heart stuff like that he uses proverbs like jesus did.
We are Cursed yet blessed for our Pains give us strenghth and in the bible it says God will comfirt you If you come to him in time of termoil. but eamost everything is a test of Love. cuz in the bible lets say your wife cheated on you or your husband you hate them.
in the bible one diciple asked jesus how they show him that they love him. He said If you forgive one of your breathern so shall you be forgiven if you are kind towards one another you are kind to me, for am in them and in you being mean to another is being mean to me. im not using exacvt words by the way but thats wht it says the way you treat ppl is basicly treating jesus like so? question is why do ppl ***** bout God n why whn they dont really care i mean if thy care they should read the bible

Think about it. we start off with christianity. there are different sects of it, catholic, lutherian, methodist,etc., each have values that allow them to be different. non-denominational follows its own rule and forms its own name under christianity, its own sect, its own denomination. (anyway, wasn't catholicism 1st and therefore everyone else sprang off them? forcing catholicism to be labeled as a denomination) PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION IN ( ) IN ( ) SO I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE. THAT WOULD BE SWELL.
