I don't see how this question is harmful to either side of the debate. Surely the serious Athests out there would love it if the cliches could be left behind so more serious debate could be waged? And as a Christian I know that I find it annoying to run into the same stupid arguments instead of finding more challenging ones to discuss.

As an atheist I don’t believe in the existences of mainstream religion.
I see two possible ways that “god” could exist with our current understanding of the known universe. Please read and don’t ridicule my opinions. You don’t have to believe any of it if you choose not to. I am not trying to convert anyone just using rational logic. Please open your minds and express your intellectual side.
God #1: This is the all mighty “god” that created the universe including the millions of galaxies, billions of stars and trillions of planets, black holes, nebulas, pulsars, quasars and other things in our known universe. With the fact our solar system is so insignificant compared to our galaxy and our galaxy being utterly insignificant compared to our universe what is the chance that this “god” would pay any attention to this tiny planet orbiting a mediocre star in a common galaxy (the spiral galaxy is pretty common in the universe). It would be ridiculously egotistical to believe he would send prophets let only his own “son” down to this planet and “save us from our sins”. Thus the concept of heaven and hell or Satan and any other religious belief wouldn’t make sense because we aren’t even visible to “god” if he created the whole universe. Do you get the concept of how microscopic we are compared to the universe? This “god” probably doesn’t even know we exist.
God#2: This “god” only shaped our solar system and the earth as we know it. He didn’t “poof” us into existence or craved us from dirt but spawn the seeds life that slowly evolved. This “god” is tremendously more superior than we are because his technology beyond our comprehension. The “god” observed the life forms before us studying the outcome of his creation. This “god” doesn’t intervene letting us have our “freewill” but sometimes intervenes and takes sides accounted in the bible. You noticed from most biblical events a light from the heavens (sky) guilds the prophets or “fire from the sky” destroys cities. Heaven and hell are still pretty unlikely in situation but the odds are a lot better because this “god” actually knows we exist. This “god” probably questions his creator because he/she/it didn’t create the universe and is pondering the same questions that we so desperately search for. Thus making this “god” not all mighty and powerful but just a super intelligent being that existed long before we emerged.
Mainstream religion’s god is usually spiritual and doesn’t share the physics of the universe and exist only in faith. When people say they feel exceptionally good when they can “feel god in them” but more likely when you feel extremely good that is a feeling humans get when they “feel loved and warmth from another person” in this case god.
Cosmology is one of the main reasons why I'm not religious.

Well, since by your own admission cliches are neither informative nor useful, I'd say that pretty much sums up the usefulness of spewing anti-religious bigotry. Maybe you should spend more time building bridges instead of burning them.

I dunno... that you all believe stuff "because a book says so"? Wait, that isn't a cliche, it's real, you do totally believe what a freakin book tells you to believe, sorry.
