i am absolutely repulsed and disheartened by the amount of hate and stupidity on these forums.

i think it is extremely unwise on the part of yahoo! to provide a service where people can freely post hate-mongering, violence-promoting messages.

people will always act like idiots under the veil of internet anonymity, this i know. but the fact that people's questions and answers are posted immediately, in large part unmonitered and unregulated, is just a bad idea. most of the ideas promoted in these hateful messages wouldn't even be allowed to exist as a website, so why should the same idea be permitted in this forum?

i have seen more racism, misogyny, bigotry, homophobia and just plain hate here in 2 weeks than i have seen in my entire life. and i've seen some bad stuff.

i'm thoroughly disgusted, yet feel even more strongly now that i should be out there in the world, teaching people about oppression/hate, and how to make the world a more tolerant place.

good-bye!!

Parents of premature babies whose newborns are hooked up to a respirator and may die at any time--Single mothers trying to raise their children while working two jobs and haven't gotten more than three hours of sleep at a time in the past three years--The father of three kids who has been laid off for six months and has to take a fast-food job, even though he knows it won't begin to pay the bills--You don't have to believe in god to believe in PEOPLE. These people haven't had it as good as you have, and if you're so callous that you would take away the one thing they have to give them hope and strength to endure in times of need, then you are worse than any Christian hypocrite--because you are supposed to believe in what is real. Do you NOT consider these people to be real? Is being right so important to you that you have to hurt them? Help me to understand--Why can't you see that religion can do good things too and some people need it?

I know a lot of people have asked this question before but I am asking it again to put my own twist into it. Here it is in my words;
What is your favorite part of the bible? Why? What meaning does it have to you?
I haven't read much of the bible but so far I like Luke 15:21 -15:22 . It's the verses were the son asks for forgivness and then the next one says" Bring out the best robe and put it on him, put a ring on his hand , and sandles on his feet". 15:22
I like it because it proves that we all make mistakes and we will be forgiven.

It was sent to me a few years ago and I wanted to send it to a friend of mine. It was an interactive talk show type of card with a yenta (Jewish grandmother type) and there were different options to pick...like under 'dating for her' she would say "You're too good for him" and under 'dating for him' she would reply "she's not good enough for you"...I just can't seem to find it anywhere...help!

If you thought there was perhaps just a small chance of getting in a car-crash and dieing would you go out on the highway?

If you knew there was just a teeny-weeny minute chance of being murdered would you leave your house?

Just some food for thought.

Does this make sense? Either Jesus is God or he isn't. There can be not in between.

I don't get it. I've cursed lots of things, but it never occurred to me to curse a fruit tree for not bearing fruit out of season. Good thing there weren't cars in Jesus' day, can you imagine what he might have done to people when he got a good case of road rage?

My high school daughter and her teen age friends keep telling me about a murder that occured in a haunted house in Las Vegas a "few years back". According to these kids a mad man got into the haunted house with a real chainsaw and raped and murdered a woman (some kids say multiple people were murdered). They all think chain saws should be banned from haunted houses to prevent something like this happening again. I have lived here in Las Vegas a long time and I have never heard of this. I have tried snopes.com and google and I can't find this story at all -- let alone proof if it is true or not. Has anyone else heard this haunted house chainsaw murder story before???

have no doudt that many are imprisoned in thier rotting corpses
waiting for a miraculous reserection ,yet everday thousands no less enter into heaven and decend into hell
some have even embalmed thier meat to preserve thier flesh ,thus eternally staying incarnate
god created spirit ,clothed/sewed it into skins ,see how real they are ,we use these skins to sew our future ,to give us all a common beginning point
to some is given higher or lower burden or reward ,its a test if you will allowing you to be tempted ,respected ,tested according to our higher calling but our lower natures
to whom much was given ,much is expected ,but all are forgiven of grace equall wages ,but for us to live eternally with our own shame giod allows us to wallow in our hells knowing wer but need to ask and god gives ,but stubourne men cant accept gods grace
thus they lie in thier reeking putrid hells awaiting some reserected being to reserect thier worldly advantage ,refusing gods gifts /fruits we earnd
