Once saved always saved is a belief that is illogical and not supported by the Bible. If people can not change their minds, once they give their lives to Christ that would not be fair. In fact Adam and Eve were given a choice even before the fall. Humans will always have a choice. If they want to turn away they will be allowed to do that.

If people's lives are full of sinful acts they are not following Christ. Many people have true conversion experiences and later fall away and stop following Christ. These people often never come back to Christ and die unsaved.

The Unpardonable Sin will do you in for Good.
Few ever Commit this Sin, it is not like Drunkeness, Fornication etc., it is Walking away from Jesus and Denying Who HE is AFTER you get Saved and After you go Way Up into the Spiritual Realm.
You have to go High Enough up the Mountain of Truth, so that if you Jump Off, the Fall will Kill you.

Baby Christians cannot Commit the Unpardonable Sin.

Yes..
What kind of God would he be if we had to spend all our time running around to make sure we are really saved.
Once we are saved we are saved.
We still make mistakes and we still Sin.
We just do it less often and know when we do right away.

I knew a Baptist woman who used that line and told her husband she could kill him and still be saved. Yes, it was a crazy statement. I share her story to point out the obvious point that people sometimes overlook. Salvation is not a one time thing. It also requires the "go and sin now more" piece--which many would like to ignore. Salvation requires a person to make a commitment to live a Christian life from that time forward. We are have to grow line upon line and precept by precept.

Yup.
However, grace isn't an excuse to sin. We will be held accountable for our use of Christian liberty.

Also, one must remember - a Christian is indwelled by the Holy Spirit, who cannot act contradictorily to Himself. An outward manifestation of Christ-like actions & attitudes is usually a good indication of one's faith

Further, Christians are exhorted in spiritual maturity. One who has no desire to learn more, or has no desire to change, probably has not had a true conversion.

Finally, as mentioned in reference to the Holy Spirit, an indwelled Christian cannot say that there is no God, or there is no Jesus, etc. The Holy Spirit cannot lie. Someone who claims to have been a Chrisitan, yet professes a lack of belief, was likely never a Christian to begin with.

Yep! I accepted Jesus as my savior when I was 13. I became "aethiest" at age 16. I became an agnostic aetheist at age 18, and I came back to Christianity just this year. Know why? Because the spirit of the Lord never really left me! I just got a little lost...

Not really, you are saved as long as you want to be. You can make a decision to leave the faith and not produce any fruit, not walk the walk and let sin take root once again.

The bible says in the book of Hebrews:

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

The bible also says to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

We need to realise the great gift that our salvation is and live a life worthy of our calling.

Some schools of thought support same.

It probably boils down to the question of whether there was genuine conversion to begin with.

That's one of those debatable doctrines that mature Christians who hold to one side or the other of should be able to disagree upon agreeably. It's a shame when Christians pile up their load of Scriptures to support a non-essential teaching of the faith and get into strife filled debates that grieve the Holy Spirit as God's children fight among themselves and the body of Christ suffers from internal divisions.

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and blasphemy be removed from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as also God in Christ forgave us.

Personally I just tell people that the blood of Christ has covered all of their sins past, present. and future, and...

Hebrews 10:10 By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which are never able to take away sins. 12 But He Himself, having offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at the right hand of God,

...that instead of worrying about whether or not a person can lose or fall away or walk away from their salvation, they should just follow the guidelines given in this next passage so that they can live a life that honors God as they grow in Christ thereby making their calling and election sure.

2 Peter 1:5 But also for this very reason, making every effort, provide with your faith virtue, and with virtue knowledge, 6 and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control perseverance, and with perseverance godliness, 7 and with godliness brotherly love, and with brotherly love, love. 8 For if these things belong to you and are increasing, it makes you neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is blind, being shortsighted, having forgotten the cleansing of his past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be even more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for by doing these things you shall by no means stumble at any time.
