The reign of Titans.
The defeat of the Titans by Zeus and the Gods.
Perseus provides mankind with fire - is punished by having his liver eaten over and over again.
Herakles
The Argonauts
The war of Troy

There is some dispute about the order the last three should be in.

Stone Tools have been unearthed and dated 13 million years ago
People are food collectors

Ceramic, stone, marble tools, statues, pottery have been dated back to tens of thousands of years.
Domesticated several animals (goats, wolf/ dog, horse, ...)

Gold artefacts have been dated to more than 5,000 years

Copper and bronze back to some 4,000 + years.

Iron is in use since 3,500 year ago!

Well, how are those interesting and relative to your question?
Initially people knew less, thus the myths were somehow, more brutal!
Progressively, they were "calmer" and more intelligent!
Then, they were describing phenomena, specially climatic and of the sky.
Progressively, they were combining science, while, simultaneously the myths are such that depending on the understanding and knowledge of the one listening/ reading/ thinking of the myth gets her/ his own explanation!
A good order can be drawn by Theogony of Hesiod!
Erevos
::::
Different "creatures" and events,
Gaea and Uranos (denoting Greeks were understanding the dimensions of space), some dozens thousands years ago.
Rhea and Cronos (cronos = time) (denoting the Greeks could understand the dimension of time), some tens thousands years ago)
Zeus (Greeks understood the uniqueness of time-space Universe), some 5,000 years ago! It is then when Wise people started putting the bases for sciences and arts. While before they would construct difficult buildings, make artefacts of excellence, still, sciences started then!
Thus, Prometheus, Perseus, Vellerefont, should be just before then!
Argonauts, Iliad, Odyssey, etc., were around 4,000 years ago.
Thus we enter the historic times!

do not be too reliable on web content! ok, i'm not attempting to sell you a e book whether it extremely is extra useful to purchase a e book so as which you will not save on putting with you workstation or workstation each time you prefer to examine the story. it extremely is extra useful to examine in a e book than on your workstation/workstation reveal screen and you may examine it even you're arranged for some thing or somebody. It won't take you surfing the internet, etc. ok, the e book became entitled Mythology by using Edith Hamilton. She's a solid editor or in besides you may call her.

I agree with Yvan S; except it was Promethius who stole fire from the gods, not Perseus. Also, I'd include right after the fire-stealing the myth of Pandora, who was a present from the gods to Promethius's brother.
