I don't think so. Earth is going thru a shift of the Millenium, just as 2000 years ago at the turn of the century was also turmoil and strife. The last 1000 years was the century of Man... the era of Action, Aggression and show of Strength, now 2000 will be the century of Woman, the time of Mind, Emotional and a focus of Inner Strength. Look how many Women are rising in political ranks, becoming the MAIN breadwinner at a household.... and how the old ways of "showing power" just dosnt cut it no more.
This transition of Aggression and show of power ( the whole mine is bigger than your symdrome) to show of intellect, will probably end at 2011, and as another reply said 2012 is the key, it is the "new age". Hehe
