how to make a good ghost costume?

Hey everyone,
My friends and I decided to be ghosts for halloween haha. We figured its the easiest. What i wanted to know is whats the best way to keep it from moving on your head so you can see? and also, what would you do with your arms? keep them in?

I am going to wear a white sheet. I dont need to ask my mom thanks. I want to know how to keep it in place

well you could do this 2 ways. 1) oldfashion: plain white sheet and cut holes for the eyes
2) dress up in clothes you'd see the dead in, and throw podwer all over yourselves to make yourself look ashen white! have fun with it! its halloween afterall

My friends & I are doing the same thing! Here's what we plan on doing:

With the sheet over your head, stand with arms extended. Have a friend use a large needle and white yarn or string to put a few stitches in the sheet about six inches to a foot under each arm to keep it in place.

With the sheet still on, have a friend make a mark around your neck. Take the sheet off and find your marks for the neck. Cut 6 or 8 small holes in the circle you made for the neck. Then thread white yarn or string and draw up loosely, just enough to keep the sheet from slipping sideways on the shoulders.

What type of ghost do you want to be? I would suggest making a costume of an old suit or dress all in white or gray and make your hair and skin very light as well. Make long flowing sleeves, and you can go the Jacob Marley route with chains and such.

Make the sheet like a pancho & get a white pillowcase.
Cute out Eye holes that should make it easier to stay put.
