6. we exist , where did we come from if zeus didn't make us?

I remember one year I went to buy some rapping paper and Christmas lights and everything there said "holiday" on it. Even the Christmas trees were called "holiday trees."

When I look at comercials that have someone putting a present under a tree, and then saying "Happy Holidays" to his wife or kids I find it a little absurd. Hershey also had a section for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, but no section for Christmas. Even now there are tons of items for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa but very few that say "Merry Christmas."

Why would a store that is selling items to people that are celebrating Christmas not put Christmas on the package, or use Christmas in their ads? Who gets excited about buying "holiday cards" or "holiday gifts?"

About 90% of American celebrate Christmas, and something like 96% enjoy Christmas. I don't anyone would be offended by a store calling Christmas trees Christmas trees. What's going on here?

Does anyone know of a website that has common expressions or words in modern English with translations in Old English? I need the lines of a skit I'm doing to have the feel of Old English..for example, if I were to say "Are you nervous", where can I find the translation for that in Old English?

My husband is a christain and I am an Atheist...we have children together and have argued about what to do in regard to what they should be exposed to. Why do corporate heads consider this customer service? I personally find it creepy and really don't need the people behind my knowing my last name. This isn't small town America where everyone knows each other. Any thoughts on how I can get around this besides paying by cash? Do you like it???

I'm not Jewish, and I'm attending my first bar mitzvah this Saturday. I have a couple of questions, first, is it appropriate for me to attend the ceremony even though I'm a Christian? We were invited, I just don't know if it's appropriate. Next, as far as a gift goes, I heard that $18 is a traditional gift. In today's society is $18 acceptable? Otherwise, what else could I give? ior to her salvation. i counsel her almost on a daily basis. i keep telling her that God doznt like us get married to unbelievers. she says she doznt love him any mo. But i hv discovered that she keeps meeting ths guy overnight. she is honest by telling me the guy wants sex all the time but she refuses. She LOVES the Lord, tht much i know. Qn is; is this gal bewitched by ths man? The guy knew of her intention to get married to a christian recently & trys to intimidate her. Our country is full of witchcraft. Is it really slothful to use the internet most of the time while you are at work? Or is it productive because you are getting what you want done while also being at work...sort of like multi-tasking?
