I take spiritual warfare seriously since I have experienced some heavy attack in past years. However, I think that many people misundertand the phrases of binding and loosing.

It can be attractive to marter oneself to this spiritual warfare stuff.

Are you really under attack? What leads you to believe this is happening.?. Perhaps I am misunderstanding your question. It has little info to go on.

I take it very seriously. It is biblical, but it scares a lot of people so they don't want to know or don't want to deal with it. Whether Christians like it or not, we are in the middle of a spiritual war. We will be either for God or against Him. There is no such thing as being neutral. Study what the Bible says about spiritual warfare. Learn all that you can so that if you are attacked again, you will know what to do.

Yes, I do. And I also agree with you about the terms "binding and loosing" have been misconstrued. Yet, we are called to put on the full armor of God, so that we can stand.

We are also called to know the Word, and to be aware of the devil's schemes. Unfortunately, many in the church aren't even aware that there is a devil, pooh-poohing the idea of an evil being.

I am quite sure that there is a remnant that stands with you! God bless!

I'm currently doing a Kay Arthur study on spiritual warfare. I will admit that I wanted to ignore it, then it wouldn't be there, like an ostrich.
You either belong to the Father, God; or the father of lies, Satan.
I think people misunderstand it, too. I wish more Christians were aware of it.

Yes but more so since I am reading a book by James Robison called The Life Your Fighting For. In it he says if you aren't aware of the SW around you - you are already losing the battle.

BTW: I have been under attack in my life as well. So disregard some of the crazy comments. Two people in the world know it is real.

I do take spiritual warfare seriously. I live for my Savior Jesus Christ. He has changed me so much. I have a personal relationship with him. He died for me, so why cant I live for Him. know what I mean jelly bean! As we become more spiritual the more we understand and we Begin to see things how they really are. I love saying Jesus's name, and singing his name, Boy do the demons get scared!

spiritual warfare is something that can be perceived in different ways by different people.

I don't know what experiences you are talking about but I do know you are not the only one who battles with demons.

each church has its own way to do 'battle' as you call it.
binding and loosing are very old terms. perhaps using terms that fit today would help.

I love spiritual wafers! Sorry, just had to get that out. Since I don't take part in spiritual warfare, I don't think I can personally 'take it seriously'. I understand that extremists take it seriously...but that's all I know.

You are speaking in a strange church language. What the heck are you talking about??

I grew up a Methodist minister's son and attended seminary, and even I don't understand your words. Either the Methodists have gotten weird or you're atypical.

I don`t like warfare of any kind.
If you need to go to war that means you have poor communication skills and don`t value your life .
