The parable of the Good Samaritan talks of a man whose people are enemies of the Samaritans. Yet when the man is beaten, his people wouldn't help him. Along comes a Samaritan (his people's enemy) and helps him. I think there are people like this, and not just individuals but groups. Like Mother Theresa's religious order "Missionaries of Charity". They help people, sick, dying or abandoned, no matter if they are Muslim, Hindu or Christian. that, to me, is the parable of the good samaritan being put into action. There is also the wife that is faithful to her husband, and vice versa. As Catholics, that is important. Practicing NFP, fighting against abortion, and just trying to live good Christian lives, are ways that people are "good samaritans.

(Ahem, ignoring the geographical post above)
To get to the heart of your question, it seems you are asking if there is a class of people who are discriminated against for no reason, but do a lot to help people, just as the Samaritans were.
This would be LGBT people.
Many of us fight for equality for all, and an end to sexism, racism, classism, and all the other evil hateful -isms. I have rarely had a more fair supervisor than the LGBT ones. etc. etc.
Thanks for the thought-provoking questions.
[Preparing myself for the onslaught of "hate the sin, love the sinner" hypocritical hogwash and other LGBT bigoted remarks. Why not try tolerance, peace and understanding for a change? WWJD?]

The Samaritan was someone who was not Jewish but was being good. That was why it was such a shock. It would be like todays atheist who does good deeds. Gets them nowhere but its still nice. God is trying to tell us "hey look, these unbelievers are doing good things, you Christians should too!"
