If you are a Christian, you believe that there is a day of judgement that God will decide if you go to heaven or hell. Where do we go in the mean time?

Jesus told the sinner being crucified beside him, "Today, you will be with me in Paradise". Is that the place we go to wait for Judgement day?

The bible says that upon Jesus' return, the dead in Christ shall rise first. Does that mean that the dead are still in the grave? Or somewhere else?

I need to leave my husband.. not for physical abuse.. but for something just as bad. I am christian, but have not been allowed to go to church.. I have no friends because of him and no family around. People are telling me to go to a church for help.. is that acceptable if I do not belong to one? I want to join one ASAP once I leave him, but I dont want the church to think I am just using them (Which I certainly would not be!!) Please help! I need help fast!! Thanks!

MUMBAI — The latest album by Slayer thrash metal band, one of America's top four in the genre, has been recalled in India after complaints from its Christian minority that the album cover was insulting to Jesus Christ (peace and blessings be upon him).
What do you think? Are you going to say that those are fanatic christians? Do not other christians also feel sad when some one insult their religious symbols? Hope you will understand their/our feelings!

The "mark of the beast" you are all fearing...

Everyone sees things upside down and then transfers it right side up. Which would make the number 999.

John of revalations saw these visions in a dream like state. In dreams, everything is shown to you backwards. Making the number not 666, but a backward 666 (also look on Damiens head in the Omen) Then technically, that would be upside down-making it again-999

So people I declare, the number you should fear is 999.
You have given 666 a bad rap.

(do you see the silliness of superstition?)

"During its embryonal phase, the more developed embryos eat up their less developed siblings."

where's the intelligence there?

you can always say "there's a purpose for everything" as a copout though.
i think they have to be one of the most "unknown to the bible" creatures and one with obviously no contact with humans in the bible so there's no chance that they are evil... btw, why would a god curse all carnivores to be carnivores after man sinned?

if we still have herbivores now, when god actually allowed eating meat, does it mean the animals have free will?

What if the next time they staged a rally there was no media and no counter demonstrators? What if there was no notice in the local papers or on local television news? What if no one but their few sad supporters came out to watch?

Wouldn't they look ridiculous - all dressed up with no audience to perform to.

I'm really getting tired of reading all the religion bashing questions. Everyone has a right to believe whatever they want, and that does't make them right or wrong. Can we just learn to live in peace, and not worry so much about what people believe. The important thing is that we hurt no one and treat everyone with respect, and that includes respecting other people's beliefs.

I'm an atheist so I have no issue with you. I'm just curious.

I know that you have the original canon of the christian church. I know this is one of the reasons Protestants of today despise you (Whole different reasons during the Protestant Reformation). I also know that there are additions and subtractions made on both sides.

Does the verse John 14:6 exist in the Catholic version. If it does does it say : Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me.

If it doesn't that's all I have. If it does then why the need for a priest.

In Mark 12:29, Jesus affirms the First Commandment revealed to Moses: “The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our GOD is one Lord.”

In the 2nd Book of Moses (Ex. 23:13), GOD commands: “Do not even mention the names of other gods”.

The Qur’an informs the Children of Israel it confirms the Truth existing in the Torah [Q2v41].

Muslims are commanded to reject “taghut” (false worship) in all its forms [Q4v60], and they say: "We believe in the scripture sent to Muhammad [saws], and we believe in the scriptures sent to previous prophets."

Did you examine all available systems of magic before consciously choosing wicca as being the most suited to you? Was it an intellectual system or an intuitive one? Have you converted from other magical systems (yes, I use the term 'converted' cheerfully and loosely), and have you found this the most satisfactory? Thank you for your information.

They both have that self-righteous 'I'm out to save the world through death' attitude.

The end result is more people getting killed.

I fail to see how the cowardly act of ordering someone else to die to promote your political agenda is ok in one sense, but not ok in another.

Oh, am I supposed to give god a break because he's supposedly so 'holy and peace loving'?
