Did you examine all available systems of magic before consciously choosing wicca as being the most suited to you? Was it an intellectual system or an intuitive one? Have you converted from other magical systems (yes, I use the term 'converted' cheerfully and loosely), and have you found this the most satisfactory? Thank you for your information.

What do you mean by "magical system"? I didn't choose Wicca because of the magick aspect. I chose it because it makes sense to me. A dual God that exists in all of nature, that idea is something I can grasp and connect with, and it's the best thing I've ever done. Blessed be.

Wicca was not the first stop on my magical journey & it wasn't my last. I was raised catholic ( and have on occasion been known to "hang with the saints" in more recent times) Studied Wicca, American Sikhism (3HO), Buddhism, Taoism, Discordianism, Church of the Subgenius, Tantra & Hinduism, Asatru, as far as religons go. I have dabbled in other occult endevours too such as ceremonialism, spiritism, psychic development, etc. I am wiccan on paper ( vetted BTW 2nd degree) but in my heart I am a Heathen. I am newer to the Heathen ritual practices, so there is a bit more stumbling when I officate a ritual in that context, but I am very practiced at wiccan ritual, and can officate them, smooth as silk. As far as magic goes, I do work quite a bit with the saints when dealing with workings for my catholic family. ( If my Grandma is sick I would light a Novena for St Bernadette) because that is the most useful magic to aid her because it falls within the realm of her paradigm of belief. If I am working for myself or other pagans I use the Runes of the elder Futhark because that best suits my paradigm. Either bind-runes, GaldR or both. I can't say there has been a total conversion from Wiccan to Heathen. I cannot take troth & Become Asatru because I have a connection with the Saints, and some gods in the Celtic & Egyptian pantheons, from former workings & study. When I am working with the Germanic Gods I always do so in a heathen type ritual (Blot & Sumble) when I am working celtic or egyptian I will practice in a Wiccan circle with all of the elements & tools of a Wiccan rite. I am a polytheist. I believe that each diety from each differnt pantheon is a unique individual. I don't believe that gods are merely archtypes, and that they are "interchangable" pantheon to pantheon.

I did extensive research on the topic and choose Wicca as the best religion for me because it went so well with my beliefs.

I believe I was "called" to Wicca by the Goddess. So I think it was a combination of research and intuition that lead me to it.

No, I have never tried any other magickal systems.

I have found Wicca extremely satisfactory! It makes me feel full of life and joy!

I have examined five magics,Wiccan translates to mean 'bender',one who 'bends'reality, based on the principle'as above, so below'. It is a whole brain system. I have not converted(cheerfully and loosely). All five magics are in my survival kit.

Yes I chose my path very carefully and with extensive research into all religions. It takes a year to become pagan, you have to read and study and fully understand what it is and what you truly believe. It was both an intellectual and intuitive choice. This is truly my path it is MY own path, no other is the same.

I didn't really look into other ways of magick until after I became Wiccan!

Ceremonial magick leaves me cold. I'm more interested in folk magick and the ancient approaches to Paganism.
