This is an inter denominational event. All Christians are asked to fast one meal a day during the next 30 days and spend time in intercessory prayer for the Church, its leaders, unsaved friends and loved ones, the countries in which we live, and healing.

I believe that life has no purpose. As a result of natural selection, we only pursue whatever releases endorphins in our body. We are servants to our own wants and needs. Even when we are serving others, we are only serving our own sympathy. Life is a vice. Religion, art, education, politics, sex, drugs...everything we create is just masturbation of the mind and body. These things do not elevate man above animals...man only has bigger, more complex levels of satisfaction and serotonin levels. All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie.

I keep on getting jealous, not about people managing to get the opposite sex, but material stuff that other people have got. I haven't got a car or my own house, but I keep on getting jealous of people who own big houses and nice cars and wonder how the hell they have got them and I have worked (could have well worked much harder than them) and am not guaranteed to have them. It makes me feel inadequate.

I've always found it difficult to ease my way out of a boring conversation (yes, yes, 'boring' is subjective and perhaps I'm the one who is boring, but all the same), and curious to know what sort of tactics you've used in the past that have worked to ease out politely yet successfully. Maybe I give off signs of false interest that I'm not aware of, such as smiling or head-nodding, but I just find myself in far too many long, drawn-out conversations about all sorts of banalities and superficial topics than I have time for or can comfortably tolerate, especially while trying to work. And when I say 'conversation,' I mean this very lightly, since it's usually the other people talking, and talking, and talking... That said, I also am very sensitive to other people's feelings, so I do not want them to leave with the thought I'm a narcissist or that they aren't worth my time and attention. But some folks, I've found, have just no social savvy when it comes to subtle signs of disinterest.

All my British friends eat bacon pieces and I'm not allowed! It's not fair. Islam doesn't let me do anything! It almost makes me want to riot, protest about anything at all and blow the UK to bits.

I got told in my Mosque I will go to heaven and get 40 virgins to have sex with if I blow myself up is that true?

I would have converted to Christianity but I love in Afghanistan and I understand I will get my head chopped off if I do so, so I'm only a Muslim because I've been forced.

Suicide bombers are so common in Islam. Supposably the Koran teaches that suicide is wrong, so how do they think they go straight to heaven for blowing up innocent people in the name of Allah?

There were at least 30 more victims of suicide bombings and sectarian attacks in Iraq Saturday.

Why doesn't anyone in American politics today, or anyone in a position of power in America have the guts to look at things this way in this day and age? We are too politically correct and gutless to do what we have to do to win a war anymore. We feel the need to be the good guys and take the "high road." No war has ever been won by taking the "high road", though many have been lost by doing this.

We can't be the good guys of the world, who hope if we're nice enough that everyone will start liking us. They already don't like us, that's why we're at war with them, and there is nothing we can do to make them like us. We need to quit attempting to rationalize why they hate us, and simply destroy our enemies and win the war! We ARE at war after all. Our ancestors would come back and kick the asses our leaders if they knew what was being done to our country and the way these morons are trying to fight a war.

I just posed a question asking if anyone knew a person who possessed uncommon valor. Please look at the answer Doug Doug gave.

>>>>>No one personally that I can think of, but I just read about that Amish girl who asked to be shot first.<<<<<

I find it astonishing that such a young child could possess such courage. We could all learn much from her. So my question is....

If that had been you in a similar situation, could you have shown the courage this little girl had?? In what circumstance would you be able to willingly lay down your life??

Understand that this question is hypothetical.

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit

some friends one

evening

and time passed quickly as each shared

their

various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than

planned,

and

had to walk home alone. She wasn't

afraid

because it was a small town and she lived

only

a

few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm

trees,

Diane asked God to keep her safe from

harm

and

danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a

short

cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she

noticed

a

man standing at the end as though he

were

waiting

for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray,

asking

for

God's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness

and

security wrapped round her, she felt as

though

someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley,

she

walked right past the man and arrived

home

safely.

The following day, she read in the

newspaper

that

a young girl had been raped in the same

alley

just

twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and

the

fact

that it could have been her, she began to

weep.

Thanking the Lord for her safety and to

help

this

young woman, she decided to go to the

police

station.

She felt she could recognize the man, so

she

told

them her story.

The police asked her if she would be

willing to

look

at a lineup to see if she could identify

him.

She agreed and immediately pointed out

the

man

she had seen in the alley the night

before.

When the man was told he had been

identified,

he

immediately broke down and confessed.

The officer thanked Diane for her bravery

and

asked if there was anything they could do

for

her.

She asked if they would ask the man one

question.

Diane was curious as to why he had not

attacked

her.

When the policeman asked him, he

answered, "Because she wasn't alone.

She

had

two tall men walking on either side of

her."

Amazingly, whether you believe or not,

you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers

will not stand up for God?

Repost this as Love vs. Sex if you truly

believe in God..

PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if u stand up 4 him u would repost this

We are supposed to believe that Christianity teaches Christians to help the less fortunate and to give until it hurts. Yet there are still many children in the world today dying of starvation. In spite of this, I have seen some impressive churches being built in North America. Some of these churches easily run into the millions of dollars to build. This, in spite of the fact that there are plenty of churches around that are underutilized and even abandoned. That same money could build a school and hire teachers in a 3rd world country to teach the children about agriculture and how to develop their own economy. All I see them getting from these Christians is a tent and some worthless teachings from the bible, teaching them not to use a condom so they can make more starving children more dependant on the "Charity" of the church. Why do Christians keep building their expensive yet worthless churches, instead of building real schools in the 3rd world?
