If you're asking for voters for the resolution, count me in.

Brevity is the soul of wit; conciseness is the art of imagery.

I'm not sure about a 250 word limit, but I definitely think people should stop mindlessly copying and pasting material from texts to answer questions. Doing it with one or a few Bible verses to use as a reference is one thing, but pasting a bunch of scriptures (or anything else) as your answer is just an appeal to authority.

Some times it is necessary to copy and paste specially in religion and spirituality section when the Question is about the scripture or asking about something in it "Qur'an, Bible, Hadith..etc"..and 250 words are not enough in some questiones as I some times use more space from my head without quoting..I like it this way and if you don't like the long answers and the quotations just ignore them.

if all of the questions could be answered in 250 words, the world would be a much better place. but they can't, some answers require more than you would allow them. a limit would be censorship and would trivialise the answers to some serious questions. i agree about the cut and paste though.

agree from the author's head and personally don't like copy and paste as this makes the answers " suspect " in my opinion.

I don't mind some pasting of information if it is good information. Just not huge amounts.

Or links to good information.

I am not sure that the answers ought to always come from people's heads, unless the people answering are experts. Some of the answers I see are either wrong and some are people's opinions (which is OK if stated that they are opnions).

Yeah, I agree. Some of the answers are just too long!! What we really need is a context screener...
