A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit
some friends one
evening
and time passed quickly as each shared
their
various experiences of the past year.
She ended up staying longer than
planned,
and
had to walk home alone. She wasn't
afraid
because it was a small town and she lived
only
a
few blocks away.
As she walked along under the tall elm
trees,
Diane asked God to keep her safe from
harm
and
danger.
When she reached the alley, which was a
short
cut to her house, she decided to take it.
However, halfway down the alley she
noticed
a
man standing at the end as though he
were
waiting
for her.
She became uneasy and began to pray,
asking
for
God's protection.
Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness
and
security wrapped round her, she felt as
though
someone was walking with her.
When she reached the end of the alley,
she
walked right past the man and arrived
home
safely.
The following day, she read in the
newspaper
that
a young girl had been raped in the same
alley
just
twenty minutes after she had been there.
Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and
the
fact
that it could have been her, she began to
weep.
Thanking the Lord for her safety and to
help
this
young woman, she decided to go to the
police
station.
She felt she could recognize the man, so
she
told
them her story.
The police asked her if she would be
willing to
look
at a lineup to see if she could identify
him.
She agreed and immediately pointed out
the
man
she had seen in the alley the night
before.
When the man was told he had been
identified,
he
immediately broke down and confessed.
The officer thanked Diane for her bravery
and
asked if there was anything they could do
for
her.
She asked if they would ask the man one
question.
Diane was curious as to why he had not
attacked
her.
When the policeman asked him, he
answered, "Because she wasn't alone.
She
had
two tall men walking on either side of
her."
Amazingly, whether you believe or not,
you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers
will not stand up for God?
Repost this as Love vs. Sex if you truly
believe in God..
PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if u stand up 4 him u would repost this

This Xian Urban Legend ripped from Readers Digest has been circulating as email chain letter spam for years.
what a huge waste of space it is, and you are, by reprinting it.
The point of the story seems to be that SOMEBODY needed to get raped, as god permitted the other girl to be raped. Did she forget to actually say "hey god, don't let them rape me" or were her prayers not as good as the other girls?
It is actually a very evil little story about your god.

That is a lovely story. I have heard it before. I would caution you that God also wants us to take care and not be careless with ourselves. In the future girls like Diane should have a group of friends to walk home with, or ask someone to drive her or pick her up (there is no totally safe place in the world, no matter how small). I have a 17 year old daughter and I pray for her all the time, have taught her to be careful as possible, and I can do no more than that. Plus I do believe in guardian angels.

This is a totally inappropriate posting. This forum is for Questions and Answers. Yours is neither a Q or A.
Additionally when ever you post such items on any forum, a source might be nice. As far as I am concerned you could be the girl in the story. Of course, an equal possibility exists. Your story could come 27Th hand from some church member. Equally possible, it could be a pure fabrication of yours.
Sorry, it will take more than that to convert this Atheist.

God is Certainly there when we need him the most it's just that some have more Insight than the others. If this has happened in Reality than it's Good For all those who believe in god and it restores and strenghtens their faith.
I believe in god very much and everybody should do but one should not blame god when one doesn't find or get the things they want in life. When this happens it happens for a reason -Either you didn't deserve to get that thing or you are not ready for getting that thing.
Most of what i have ever wanted in life i did get but not when i wanted them Desperately but when god deemed it fit to do so.
So always have faith in god no matter how worst your life might be going.
God Bless Us All!

What is wrong with you, posting a ******* chain letter on Yahoo! Answers?
It's not true, it never happened, and it's not something appropriate to post simply because of what it is.
Reported.
Edit: Oh, and since she saw him before getting too far into the alley, why the **** didn't she just back out and go the other way? e.e Clearly, he wasnt gonna jump her.

So God let the other girl got raped just because she didn't pray to him? And why do you expect me to respect this "God", again?
And to everyone calling this "evidence" that God exists, this is just a story that can by no means prove the existence of any deity.

Yes, prasie the lord. He protected his follower and let another girl get raped. Something wrong with that if you ask me. It not a good story, it is a horrible nightmare for some girl who was raped because your god wouldn't help her!

Hey, I've got a story too. One day a young girl was walking home alone and she asked god to look out for her. She was attacked. Why didn't god save her? Why didn't he help the other several thousand women who were raped yesterday? Why didn't he save all the people who were ever hurt ever?
Oh yeah, because he doesn't exist. And your story never happened.
Prove me wrong.

Nice fairy tale, but like all fairy tales, pure b.s.
By the way, posting your questions as you did and making people scroll down 4 pages to read it all is a GREAT way to guarantee that fewer people will read your posts.
Now, what exactly was the QUESTION, or were you just prosletyzing as usual.
