Some christians are so caught up in the struggle that a good movie to describe them is "Waiting to Exhale." Some people don't wanna hear about God so much that a good movie would be "Running Scared." Some people are so into themselves "spiritually" that they could use "Clueless" as their theme title. Just having fun here... what's your anthem or what do you see as a good movie title around you?

I can understand if I'm driving along and cutting people up all over the place. But, today, I was parking my car, I'd already pulled into the space, and wasn't blocking any traffic, and no-body was waiting for me to finish...so I was on my mobile, and just slowly straightening up with my free hand. There was a lady standing in front of my car, shaking her head and talking loads of rubbish, of which I managed to lip read "mobile phone" about ten times! I would've asked her, but it was raining and I wasn't going to waste my time getting wet over it...but why did it concern her so much?

Another time, infact several other times, I've been driving along happily on my mobile on non busy roads, causing no harm, and other cars have been swerving all over the place trying to point at me and tell me to get off the phone...again, why does it concern them!? Granted, they are usually old people with nothing better to do...but I'm the one who'll get fined, so why don't they just butt out?

It seems that the slightest little comment about anything to do with the Muslim religion, results in protests and public condemnation. Why are they so much more volatile than any other religions? Jews, Sikh, Hindi, Buddhists, Catholics, none of them behave like this. Is there some historical reason?

It's very real.how do i make the connection and how do i strengthin it.I sometimes find my self feeling down for a few moments even though before the encounter i was up.some are strong and some are weak.I watch the differance in them over a period of three days.I seem to possess an ability to transfer energy.it is very kool but finding someone to trust is like ice.

There's a few people who I knew five or ten years ago at work, but they aren't people I'm comfortable around and never had personal friendships with them. I just knew them at work. I will be in a situation soon where I will be seeing many of them for the first time in years (in a meeting). I'm quite sure a few of them will ask me for my personal phone number so "we can get together", but I don't want to share that info with them or get together. What is the least hurtful, socially correct way to avoid giving them my phone number, e-mail, address, and to decline an invitation I don't want to accept? I'm not a bad person. I just have a circle of friends that I'm compatible with and these are not people like that. But I don't wish them harm.

People think that they can convert other people to their religion by killing others.
People from every religion do that, christians, muslims and every single one.
In my opinion that is wrong because God told people to show love to one another.

Why do people then think that killing others will make other people belive in their god?

What is it with businesses (especially hotels) these days they advertise some unchallenging role as manager of something and then when you go for the interview you find out their organisation hierarchy is completely different? Why do they waste the time of the applicants?

I just purchased this home not too long ago and this neighbor complained to me about noise coming from my home at night, so I told her I would work on it and now I just close my windows and she says that has helped. But NOW she's saying that at night time could we park our car in the back by the garage instead of by our door (which is more convenient for us) because she can hear doors slamming and it wakes her up. I think that she is being very unreasonable because we don't SLAM the doors we close them regulary just like anyone else. She has approached my mom one morning about this saying "I have told you about the slamming doors before you are disturbing the whole neighborhood if this keeps up it is going to be trouble" she yelled all this through her window. Should I agree to just park in the back by the garage and let her have her way? When the winter time comes it's gonna be headache having to park back there especially with my young children.

Though I was raised Catholic, I long ago dispensed with beliving in Jesus as God and then God altogether, but as a student of both history and politics, I admire the campaign concept. The God of the Old Testament is very much a heavy-handed overlord type who threatened believers into behaving. But the Jesus figure is a clever turn because it offers a figure that humans can relate to and emulate. The basic doctrine says, "I am God, but I am also you. If you act like me, you can strive to become a god-man also". Putting aside whether you believe in it (if you're atheist, I assume you don't), do you admire the sales ptich?

I will respectfully ask for no hateful rhetoric from Christians. I am trying to ask a secular question about a religious idea. I will likely get it anyway, but I had to ask...
