I understand typo's. But some people are consistent in their bad spelling, bad grammar, and inability to form a coherent thought.
And no, I don't take them seriously.
I especially love the ones who claim to be well educated, but from their questions, you just know they never passed an English or a science class.

Just because some people may not have that great spelling skills or speak perfect English doesn't mean they're dumb or have nothing to say or that their opinions don't count. If you judge people solely by the way they spell you can't seriously expect to be taken serious yourself. Why not try to focus on the content instead of the spelling?

honestly in this forum and as serious as alot of the questions and answers are, I think that spelling and grammar should be the least of our worries, unless it is so bad that you can't even understand what the writer is trying to say. When people attack or refuse to answer a question simply because a few words were misspelled, it seems nit picky and ridiculous.
Also don;t put the question only to atheists, many christians have rotten spelling and grammar as well...take this for example......
it seems to me that you have forgotten the most famous of them all.... Forgive them lord for they do not know what they are doing.
Jesus Christ, he was betryed by his decyle, taken to punches pilot, brutaly whiped and hurt, and then he took his place on the cross and died for our sins so that they could be forgivin 0 AD"

Sometimes, people type so fast that they dont think that they are misspelling a word. I know my fingers trip all the time....maybe we shouldnt judge people on their spelling but answer their questions instead of shooting them down and being rude?

That's what gets to me. Grammar and spelling are the only things we see from each other, besides the content. The way you write reflects upon your education.

I agree. It's hard to take someone seriously when they can't get there point across with a certain level of basic intelligence.

Spelling is hard for some. I would not totally discount another opinion based solely on their ability to spell. Even with check spelling, it does not matter.
