Why must our beliefs do the following:

1. Go against over 70 major scientific societies :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_sci...

2. Go against every major biologist, geologist, molecular biologists, geneticists that lead their field in their study?
http://newton.nap.edu/html/creationism/e...

3. Show us something that these people haven't uncovered in their lifetimes of research, study, and expertise?

4. Believe that because of the OVERWHELMING evidence to support evolution and an Earth that is millions of years old, that GOD must have planted this evidence as a trick or test of our faith? That God is a prankster?

please clear this up for me.....

Here we go again, another liberal mag. spouting that they have "evidence" that neanderthals lived 500,000 years before us and that we are common ancestors to them! That we are primates, and so are apes. I've never seen an ape dial a cell phone! Citing the top geologists in the country as experts. These men have only devoted their lives to one thing: science. How could they know what we know? That God created this earth 6000 years ago and all of this evidence is fake. The Grand Canyon is a lie told by the devil. Don't believe your eyes fellow believers...Sure, they do have skeletal bones from something that lived "a long time ago" but we know that their dating techniques aren't as good as the bibles right!? Yes, we have know physical evidence of Adam and Eve, Noah's ark or that humans could live to be 600 years old like Moses, or Abraham (he was only 175) but who needs evidence when we've got Faith!?

Remember, the Devil mixes his lies with the truth!

My history teacher, Mr. Perkinson, told our class today that black Americans are a failed race and have failed to take any oppertunity into improving themselves. He also gave a bunch of case studies about how blacks cause lots of crime and told us what he said wasn't racist but is the truth. I am really confused now...is what he said true?

How can I be expected to pass quietly into the night? I must leave an impression. I refuse to voluntarily go quietly! Shouldn’t all people strive for immortality? Ideologically or physically? How did they manage to pacify all of us? So you’re going to go to your little job for the next 40 years and then die with a sh!t bag tied to your side in some nursing home? No way man, I got to do something, something big.

I am gay and have told a few friends. I am at the point where I really want to tell my parents because I feel myself distancing myself from them because I feel like I'm hiding who I am. The more I think about it the more I worry about it. My biggest fear is not rejection, because I know they will not hate me for it, but it is that I will have disappointed them somehow. Mom wants grandkids ya know, and keeps buggin me about why I haven't found a nice girlfriend yet. Sometimes I think she's doing it because she already knows and just wants me to tell her. Seriously, I haven't had a girlfriend in 6 years and have shown no interest in any woman whatsoever.
Anyway, any advice from someone who has dealt with similar situation or feelings. I plan on telling them soon, maybe even on national coming out day, which is next week right? I'm hoping for the best and planning on the worst, I don't think they will kick me out the house but I have a place to go if they do.

Thanks in advance!

I told my sister boys were much more knowledgeable about sports than girls and she didn't think so, so we made a bet that the person who could pick the most sports games correctly could choose the others haloween costume, she won. She said i have to be a girl of some sort. I'm a small twelve year old boy who hasn't been through puberty yet. She couldn't decide what I should wearso she told me to ask yahoo answers for suggustions on what I should be and where to make me look most girly. She's leaning toward princess, not disney princess, real princess and would like to know some good tips. Money is not a matter my family is probably going to by the best brand new thing they can find of what you choose.

first off- if you are in here to mock me, please stay out of this one because i am trying to ask some fellow believers for help.

i just had my first experience today where i feel like i denied God. I trust in Him and love him and believe fully, but i did not have the strength today to stand up for him and that made me really scared of what is to come in my life and in the world- i do believe this world is getting very close to its end and i'm petrified. if you know of anything that has helped you or some1 else get the strength to stand up for God, please let me know. What has helped you? i am at the point where i can accept God's forgiveness, but i want to get myself ready for next time. Please pray for me and answer my question on here of what may be able to help me.

How do you know how to act and behave all the time? I asked this question before but I still need to know more. How do you know how to act in different situations? How do you know what to say,how to respond. It seems I dont have personality or something.I always copy what others people do,I think everyone also is better than me.When I am with my friends I just act like them. When I am alone I dont know how to act what to do at all. How do you do things you do,do you look somewhere for guidance? Alot of people say I do whatever I want and act the way I want. But what if I don't know what I want and how I want to act. I am so lost. Could this be due to that I am suffering from Anxiety and Depression, social anxiety to be exact where I get intense panic attacks, and feel really depressed all the time.Anxiety makes me fearful of evertything. Do you think when I will get rid off anxiety and depression, let go of the fear my real self will show up and I will know how to act and be my self?

A friendly question for those who embrace the idea of multiple religions…How does one reasonably support the concept of there not being such thing as absolute truth in religion, that different teachings that contradict each other can all be true, or that religious beliefs are mere opinions and nothing more? Whatever one may answer, it ought to stand up to the following analogy: Most believe the world is round, while some may believe it is flat. Surely, both viewpoints cannot be right…and one can indeed be the only right answer. If the response is that this is different because the shape of the earth is something that can be proven to all by empirical evidence, consider that there was a time when it couldn’t be proven and at that time there were those who held firmly to their "unproven" belief...

I was reading once that as a mormon women, you have to be married so that you can go to heaven because your husband has to pull you through some kind of boundry or something. I'm wondering if this is true, because I asked a mormon friend and she got mad at me and told me to ask the missionaries. I just wanted to know if this is what the mormon religion believes or if this is more internet hooplah. Thanks a bunch!

If they do, do they help women who WANT to have their babies stay away from the abortion police? Since they are supposedly "pro-choice" and "pro woman" it seems like they should play both sides of the fence!

Abortion is a MANDATE in China. If a woman becomes pregnant, and doesn't have permission from the government to have her baby, the state will arrest her, take her to a medical facility, and forcibly abort her baby. Even if she is 8 months along at the time, and wants the child, she is still physically forced into having an abortion.

So, are the "pro-choice" advocates doing anything to help these poor women, who are having their choices made for them? Are they really "pro-choice", or do they really only want women to make one "choice"--abortion?

The latter seems really hypocritical to me!
