People will say 'Einstein said we couldnt so we cant', but people said long ago we couldnt travel faster than the speed of sound - wrong. It was said long long ago that if we travelled more than 5 miles per hour our insides would be crushed (the actual speed of this one ive forgotten but it was very low, to do with bicycles or cars being invented). They said the Earth was flat, man couldnt fly etc...
I think the only reason Einstein would say its impossible and come up with such an elaborate reason was to make people challenge him and say ' I dont belive it, we can travel faster, we just have to learn how to'.
My controversial part - Of course there are always people who accept the easist answer or the one that will keep them in the 'popular' group for fear of ridicule,eg. company men who go along with whatever they are told because they are too afraid to stand up for better ideas or ways.

Leviticus says it's a sin.
Now I know that many christians think that the OT has been overturned and doesn't apply anymore, so that's not what I'm asking.

I want to know why your god EVER felt that this was a sin.
What was the rationale?
Or was he just trying to make life difficult for the sake of making it difficult???


Oh, and if he thought that this was so bad at one point, why did he change his mind?
How can a being who is perfect, omniscient, and "beyond time" even change his mind to begin with?

they refuse to look at it, maybe they are afraid of what they will see, this is a very serious matter and when u think a woman has a right to kill their own baby then i guess its ok that all these murders are happening, the prison system shouldn't be filled up, u are agreeing to murder when u say its a woman's right to choose, she had the right to say no or use a condom.
if she was raped she had the right to put it up for adoption
if the child is not normal then she is putting a condition on loving a child and needs to give it up for adoption and get her tubes tied because she will never be a good mother if it comes with a condition, its supposed to be unconditional
if it is a matter of life and death for the mother, most of those cases the mother still lives when she has the baby, there are very few cases of mothers dying while giving birth, no matter what kind of illness she has.
it takes some sick ppl to agree to murder of an innocent child

u wont go to the heaven? I think if God loves everybody u dont need to believe in a religion.. neither u dont need to believe him.. cuz God loves you,.. and he knows you are there..of course you need to do good things.. but I dont understand if God loves the humanity why we need to have religions and why the religions send you to the hell cuz you are not part of that religion

I'm a freshmen in highschool, and it seems like people only want to be friends with the people who are mean snobs. I mean, I am a really nice person & easy to get along with, but I feel like nobody wants to be my friend. Everyone always hangs out with the people who are mean. Why is this? This world was never created to have total peace. Earthlings are barbarians. They only know violence (except for us good people). Where I'm from when we see a Funeral procession we stop our vehicles in respect to the family of the person that has passed away, and to show respect to the family and loved ones. I was wondering if any place else has the same custom, or any thing like it. They are also accompanied by police cars all the way the cemetary. Actually, some people don't like to stop, but others stop in the middle of the road and block them, others pull off to the side of the road.

...then why do fundamentalists not recognize as parables the crazy stuff in the old testament, like pretty much all of Genesis? Did God just come up with the novel idea of making points through story telling once Jesus came around? I thought he was supposed to be omniscient.

My 15 year old son says he can see pain in other peopl's eyes and feel it. he said he has for many years. he looks down alot and does not like to look in people's eyes and i always thought it was just insecurity? He has never stared me in the eyes for a long period of so asked him to and he did for about 1 minute he had to look away twice then burst out crying and holding his stomach for about 2 min then he looked white and tired. he said he heard and used the word my agonizing screaming in his head and his stomach hurt so bad he thought he would throw up. He doesn't know lots of pain i have been thru i also had an abortion before he was born and he doesn't know? Just don't know what to think? he is a good kid.
