I'm a freshmen in highschool, and it seems like people only want to be friends with the people who are mean snobs. I mean, I am a really nice person & easy to get along with, but I feel like nobody wants to be my friend. Everyone always hangs out with the people who are mean. Why is this? How can I make more friends and join a group?

Just keep your ground honey, there's plenty of ppl out there i'm sure who will love to be your friend. Remember though to draw a boundry some ppl also take advantage of nice ppl and run them over just to get what they want just be patient and i'm sure you will find many friends. Girls are usually only that way because they are jealous they'll either get over it, or lose a good friend they could of had.. Good luck and dont worry about the others good friends will come your way

Be yourself. Mean people know how to find trouble and usually do. Join a group like band or drill team. You will have lots and lots of fun plus you will meet people in a group that have similar interests. I was in band and absolutely loved it. We got to go to all the games and also participate in band contests at other schools. We would always get out of school early for the trips. Talk to your teacher about joining band, drill team, or annual staff.
You will really enjoy it. Give yourself time. Don't pressure
yourself. When the time is right, you will know it. Good luck.

because nobody is nice anymore i mean look around you, you can't even look near somebody without them wanting to kill you.. a long time ago there was not even locks on peoples homes. try that now. to answer the question it's attitude, if your not imposing a bad "tude" then people may take advantage of you. it's an avoidance technique.

Some people find it easier to run over those whom are nicest to them, the thing about it is bad only comes around as much as you turn it! Find a click that enjoys the same subjects you do. I enjoyed playing volleyball in jr. high. No one of my ethnic race took part of it, but I found a lot of new friends who could relate to me.

If those people don't want to be friends with a nice person like you, then surely you don't want to know those bunch of idiots now would you?

jelousy.... or maybe there's something about you that distracted them.... nice people don't think that they are nice... try make a double check... if there any of your characteristics not suit with the environment.... but if you really confidence nothing's wrong bout you... then keep being yourself n still be a nice person dor everyone even they hate you so much....

that's what high school is like. It's not about REAL friendships, but about image. if it's cool to be snobby, everyone wants to be snobby. You just stay who you are, and you'll make life-long friends! It's never about how many friends you have, but the quality of those friendships.

its not that we dont like nice people we dont like overly nice people. you know the one that goes out of their way all the time for you. its too strange. i wouldnt drive 40 miles to buy you a gallon of milk. but if i was allready there i might pick one up for you
really nice people are either brown nosers or pschyopahts

I guess we either annoy them, or they are jealous.
just be your self, and be happy with who you are. there is not enough nice people in this world.
