Where I'm from when we see a Funeral procession we stop our vehicles in respect to the family of the person that has passed away, and to show respect to the family and loved ones. I was wondering if any place else has the same custom, or any thing like it. They are also accompanied by police cars all the way the cemetary. Actually, some people don't like to stop, but others stop in the middle of the road and block them, others pull off to the side of the road.

Oh, I can't not stop. Here in NYC, I don't have a vehicle anymore, but I'll pause and put my hand over my heart for them.

Everyone in the procession turns on their headlights. And anyone who sees can turn on their headlights. You can pull your car over too.
