I don't get upset. I just get a little HOT!

Pssst ... have you noticed that Christians have children?? Sometimes quite a few children. And the manner in which they were conceived wasn't upsetting in the least. In fact it was quite enjoyable. But Christians are sufficiently sensitive to be upset over the desecration of sacred things. Including God's gift of sexuality.

Paul believed that any form of love other than for god was a sin, that included love for wives, husbands, and children. He was realistic enough to know that total abstinence by all Christians would mean that the Christian faith would die out in one generation, so he allowed one codicil, you could have sex, but only if it was for reproduction, it couldn't be done for pleasure or as an expression of love for your spouse. That is why homosexuality, the use of birth control, and abortion are banned. They all allow sex for reasons of other than procreation. This is what resulted in the Puritans, and they are the ones who primarily established the sexual customs of the U.S.

It is decidedly not that Christians are against "anything sexual" as you put it. Sexuality is seen as an act, a part of Creation itself, in which man and woman are allowed to participate. God's Creation is Good, and so sex as a creative process is as well. Those who believe accept truths and absolutes that may not be understood by non-believers.

One of those beliefs is that God , for His own reasons (certainly unknown to me), has allowed man, sometimes of his own Free Will and sometimes influenced by an Adversary, the Liar, for a time to distort His creation. It is this distorted manipulation of the creative process of sex with which Christians take issue. When sex is used in an entirely self-involved manner it is made an idol in itself instead of the blessing as it is meant, and therefore conflicts with God Himself....

Depends on how crude the comment is. Adults tend to be offended by immaturity, not the subject itself.

Sex is a holy thing created by God for the pleasure of a married couple, and for procreation. Some people tend to degrade human sexuality down to the equivalent of toilet humor. Can we grow up, here?

Because they have been told by the church that sex is sin. But nowhere in the bible is this told. Marriage is blessed by god and Man and Woman are for each others enjoyment they become one not just in a spiritual sense. So free youself from the churches teaching.

Not "anything" sexual, just usually sexual abuse. Quite a lot of the questions posted here that are "sexual" in nature, would be considered sexual harrassment in the workplace, or a really good reason to get slapped on a date. They qualify as sexual abuse. For some people, the anonymous nature of this board is a "free" place to mock other's (especially Christians, though I've seen it done to Muslims and Jews also) faith in a sexual way.

You are definitely showing your ignorance! How can you generalize like that?

I am a Christian and love sex! It is a wonderful pleasure designed by God Himself!

So, since I am a Christian and am not easily upset by anything sexual, I just DISPROVED your generalization!

I didn't know they were...God created sex - for two people who are married and want to join their lives together. It is a beautiful thing! It's people like you who make it ugly and random. Too bad for you!
