Why must our beliefs do the following:

1. Go against over 70 major scientific societies :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_sci...

2. Go against every major biologist, geologist, molecular biologists, geneticists that lead their field in their study?
http://newton.nap.edu/html/creationism/e...

3. Show us something that these people haven't uncovered in their lifetimes of research, study, and expertise?

4. Believe that because of the OVERWHELMING evidence to support evolution and an Earth that is millions of years old, that GOD must have planted this evidence as a trick or test of our faith? That God is a prankster?

please clear this up for me.....

I am believer, but I do not see the issue with creation and science. The Bible is not a science text book. It is a book that is thousands of years old written by people inspired by God. It is message of God's interaction with God.

The message of Genesis is not necessarliry a step by stop order of creation (It could be but hear me out). If you look a Egyptian creation stories their are striking similarities b/w them and Genesis. There is a god of dirt and a god of sky and a god of the air separates the earth from the sky. Sounds like Genesis doesn't it. The message of Genesis is the God of Israel created everything and all these little gods. Given the Israelite at the time in polytheism, they would have saw this as a message that the God of Israel is bigger than all the other gods in the world. Nothing is greater or more powerful than the God of Israel and so he alone is worthy of worship.
Genesis is not about science, but the message about God.

Those links are broken by the way.
But what is so overwhelming? That the rapid expansion of saturns rings have been happening so long, that they should be gone by now?
That macro (not micro) evolution has been witnessed or proven?
That all matter came from nothing at all, from forces that somehow always seemed to exist, yet no one has a problem with that?
That Creation has somehow been proven wrong or that something in it's theory cannot be true?
That the bible's incredibly accurate accounts of history mean nothing?
That God cannot create anything unless it is in infancy so that it must develop itself?
That Jesus has been proven to have not been raised?
That The not huge, but not so small amount of creationist scientists don't exist?
That red blood cells in a 65,000,000 year old T-rex bone can exist?
That life can come from non-life without borrowing from other life?
That any mutation ever witnessed has ever made a good and fairly noticeable mutation?
That our best scientists have made the first artificial life form after countless years of trying, and yet nature just poofed it itself by accident?

If our best scientists could come up with good facts supporting it, I could rethink myself. Or what about their proof against God? I don't see any of that either.

For example... if you found a rock on the ground, and it looked very interesting, you take it to a scientist and they only examine it for 2 seconds, telling you that its "blahblahblah" rock. The only reason that they do this, is because they don't do any researching of their own, its all stereotypical, meaning, they follow up with everybody else. The scientist automatically dates the rock back to a certain type of rock only from what they have been taught. And what they have been taught, well, it was only from one point of view, which supports evolution. If every single scientist (this includes all sorts of geologists, bioligists, etc) learned from different perspectives, then they'd actually find some supporting data for creationism. Evolution is only a theory, and no matter how much evidence they have, they can never ever prove that it was the way that earth was created.

20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Romans 1

1,2, 3: It is largely because we as prideful race hold our contentions above what is plainly revealed to us. Those who have chosen the route of what is creating a deceptive theory have shrouded their own hearts in darkness despite the fact that the simplest answer lies before them. What is the wisdom of man when compared to God's wisdom? This passage fortells of the evolutionary movement - its conception in "futile thoughts" and its inevitable fallout.

4: What if we were to take that persepctive and turn it around? What if all these evidences point towards a single, omnipotent creator? Would that not explain the intricate, yet fundamental design of the cell? One designer, one design. God didn't place "evidence" on earth to fool us, but it was there so that we could clearly see the resemblance and realize that God was the agency and instrumentality of creation.

The Bible is not a scientific manual. It contains miracles. It contains answers for spiritual questions.

If you want proof of a Creator, look at the order, diversity and vastness of the universe. In your quest to prove/disprove evolution, you will be focusing on God. The more you focus on God, the more you struggle, the more you will eventually be able to understand.

Do not give up your quest to understand the nature of God and the universe. Do not give up your quest for scientific knowledge. Learn all that you can.

A lie repeated enough definitely will pick up steam especially if there is money available to help create truth built on a lie. I am sorry if you have been overwhelmed. Our educational system has not helped out one bit. Keep seaching for the truth and don't give up.

BURIED ALIVE is the name of the book that will settle any argument that you have about this subject. The author's name is Jack Cuozzo who is an orthodontist who had an unusual opportunity to examine the heads in the Paris France musuem. Jack the author shows xrays of these heads and makes the conclusion the these were the humans that were buried during the flood who lived very long lives as spoken of in the bible. It would be worth the money to buy the book for less than $15. on Amazon

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Certainly,

First, let's talk about the big bang. If you look and Genesis and the Sequel of events in the Big Bang theory, they would happen in about the same order. What an Almight Deity that lives for ever calls a 'day' may differ from what a mere mortal that may live 100 short years would call a day.

Second: We as Christians assume that when God spoke, this just instantaniously happened. You have to understand what a major undertaking this was. How much effort would the Almighty God have to expend before he got tired enough to take a day off? We are talking about the Creator here. Almighty and all powerful. With a mere thought could shatter this fragile rock we call earth. The creation of the Cosmos was so involved that he took a day off. How long could God work before he got tired? Well, enough on that.

Evolution. with the prestated in mind, is it possible that evolution is one of God's many tools of creation? Now, before you go, "That's not what God said" hear me out.
He had to speak the language of the time. Eating a pig was considered spiritually "unclean" Okay, with modern science, we know that an undercook slice of pork can make you very sick. So, instead of giving Moses a leason in biology that he probibly wasn't ready for, he labled them as " unclean " which is perfectly correct, from a particular point of view.

How about don't eat red meat? You must cook your food completely or you're going to hell. Okay, in modern medicine, we know that undercook meat and cause nasty problems in your colon. So, is it possible that this law was just a way to keep his children from having major colon problems down the road?
Or, how about ' No red meat on a friday'? Good idea. Let your system flush it out before you start chowing on that steak.
Now, if I understand Genesis correctly ( and please feel free to correct me ) The beasts of the world came well before man. Science would most likely agree on this point. Garden of Eden? Modern paliantologists theorize that all humanity origionates from one collective on earth, and spread out of many thousands of years.
Well, I think the stumbling block that we keep tripping over is that we view Science and religion as two seperate and opposing entities. When in fact, science is the greatest collaberation by mankind to study and understand all that God has created. A beautiful thing, when you think about it.
It took along time for all the things we have to come into being. We're are not going to understand it all in a mere few thousand years.

best wishes.

First off, its not that hard to go against broken links...
1&2 Not all scientific societies or leading scientists buy into evolution
3 All these lifetimes of research have never observed or reproduced macro evolution, which if you remember from middle school is what makes science science.
4 There as tons of evidence out there that does not support evolution (few quick examples, the "geologic column" has never been found complete or correct. Fossils found in the wrong layer of strata for their supposed age, fossils spanning through several layers of the geologic column.)

That answer your questions fellow ignoramus? (notice how neither of us is really what we claim to be fellows of?)

The “scientific method” is as follows: Observe what happens; based on those observations, form a theory as to what may be true; test the theory by further observations and by experiments; and watch to see if the predictions based on the theory are fulfilled. Is this the method followed by those who believe in and teach evolution?

Astronomer Robert Jastrow says: “To their chagrin [scientists] have no clear-cut answer, because chemists have never succeeded in reproducing nature’s experiments on the creation of life out of nonliving matter. Scientists do not know how that happened.”—The Enchanted Loom: Mind in the Universe (New York, 1981), p. 19.

Evolutionist Loren Eiseley acknowledged: “After having chided the theologian for his reliance on myth and miracle, science found itself in the unenviable position of having to create a mythology of its own: namely, the assumption that what, after long effort, could not be proved to take place today had, in truth, taken place in the primeval past.”—The Immense Journey (New York, 1957), p. 199.

According to New Scientist: “An increasing number of scientists, most particularly a growing number of evolutionists . . . argue that Darwinian evolutionary theory is no genuine scientific theory at all. . . . Many of the critics have the highest intellectual credentials.”—June 25, 1981, p. 828.

Physicist H. S. Lipson said: “The only acceptable explanation is creation. I know that this is anathema to physicists, as indeed it is to me, but we must not reject a theory that we do not like if the experimental evidence supports it.” —Physics Bulletin, 1980, Vol. 31, p. 138.

it is very simple, scientist look at all the evidence of God creating the universe but mistakenly believe God created it thousands of years ago. NO he visualized it and began creation and it is still in progress. What they call evolution is the proof of creation plus the universe is still expanding.
