How do you know how to act and behave all the time? I asked this question before but I still need to know more. How do you know how to act in different situations? How do you know what to say,how to respond. It seems I dont have personality or something.I always copy what others people do,I think everyone also is better than me.When I am with my friends I just act like them. When I am alone I dont know how to act what to do at all. How do you do things you do,do you look somewhere for guidance? Alot of people say I do whatever I want and act the way I want. But what if I don't know what I want and how I want to act. I am so lost. Could this be due to that I am suffering from Anxiety and Depression,social anxiety to be exact where I get intense panic attacks,and feel really depressed all the time.Anxiety makes me fearful of evertything. Do you think when I will get rid off anxiety and depression,let go of the fear my real self will show up and I will know how to act and be my self?

Yes...work on the Anxiety & Depression first...you aren't sure how to act because you aren't feeling well. I hope you're seeing a doctor to help you with this. Good Luck.

Wow sweetie slow down and take a deep breath . There now allow me to try and help . 1st our personalities form by being around other people and observing them and how they act . Our gut feelings about things are also a good thing to follow . It seems that now a days when ever we feel uncomfortable we assume there is something mentally wrong with us , that is not the case a lot of times ! We all feel awkward at some time or another in life . I actually went to a Higher self esteem course !
Some of the things that it taught me were that most people are as scared as we are . They have just learned how to hide it better . It is called fake it until you make it or project it until you prefect it . { get the idea ? } This sounds a bit crazy , but it works ! before going out somewhere new ... stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself that you are a good person and that others will think so too ! Walk with a good posture looking up , never at the ground , look others in the eye when you speak to them. Pretend you are confident until it becomes the truth .
I could go on all night but I'm sure you get it now . Relax and
have fun , laugh at life and even yourself sometimes , don't take everything so serious !!! Good Luck .

I don't think people always know how to act in every situation, the best thing you can do is think before reacting, think about the other people and that will help get the focus off your doubts.There is nothing wrong in thinking of someone you respect and try to do what you think they would do just make sure they are a good role model, when you are alone think about being with your friends and a situation where they are doing something you don't agree with, would you really do it? Like jumping off a bridge? Time and practice will help a lot and in the mean time instead of worry/anxiety just consider yourself a "thinking person" I hope this helps.
