I've read all the answers, but the best explanation was from the link which was provided to me. Let me say that the marriage of Aisha and Muhammad could have truly been beautiful. I understand the politics of the marriage, and I also see how the marriage of Aisha and Muhammad educated Aisha, beyond any expectation of any Muslim woman, or person for that matter, BUT there is one BIG problem. If Muhammad did take the so called noble, sublime act of marrying a girl, not because of attraction, but to strengthen ties between all muslims. Why did he still take the liberty of having sex with her? If he loved her like a daughter I don't care if he slept with her at age 30 that's still sick and twisted. The fact is he did sleep with Aisha at age 9. That's a big problem. Muhammad sleeping with Aisha completely obliteterates the 'sublime' factor of his intentions. I can't see any defense to that, it's sick, and it should at least be admitted as an unexplainable flaw to Islam

I agree their contribution to science & tech. are more. But Americans & British either lived on other's treasure or land. When will they learn to live on their own without poking into others ***. Every human has his birthright to live on this planet, without damaging the nature or other fellow human or animal. Whites are not the only races to rule the planet.

They day is not far, Asians will teach the Americans/British a way to live independent on their own.

Please. if satan was created by a perfect being, there wouldn't have been a seed or possibility of a seed of pride in him.
And besides, being that God is omniscient, He'd have known that satan was flawed before creating him. So are we saying here that god just wanted an arch enemy to kick around for eternity? And if that's the case, being that satan is rebellious wouldn't he have been a good little angel just out of spite?

Why should I Reject this bible verse and NOT the 10 commandments?
(They are both in the SAME BOOK OF THE OLD TESTAMENT and this verse is actually referring to the 4th commandment from Exodus 20:8)

I am in a dilemma.
I study nutrition science/biomedicine at a very good university and I am looking forward to working in research when I get my M.Sc. I will be 26 when that day comes.
However, I also want to have children before the age of 30, and I certainly do not want some day-care center to raise them.
I'm on the verge of giving up my career plans, because none of my fellow students share that need for a family and adviced me to give up one or the other.
Say I will have two children, and want to take care of them for 3 years each....that could sum up to about 6 years of not working. who would employ me after such a long break??
How is it possible to fit both my career and a happy family into my life?
Have you done it?do you know anyone that has?
I'd love to hear some personal experience!

I'm talking about tragic losses and horrific crimes against decent, innocent people and children. For instance children like Polly Klass and Adam Walsh and Jessica Lundsford. Horrible, horific crimes were committed against these children. How can that be God's will? Why would God want or allow innocent children to be tortured and their families to suffer such horrific losses?

you see, i'm having some difficulty with nosey neighbors. they hide just behind the curtains, and monitor everything....and i mean, EVERYTHING! They have an uncanny way of hearing everything that goes on in our flat, and broadcast it around the the few neighbors that still speak to them. I'm not bent out of shape over it, but it is a nuisance. They are so obnoxious. I have suspicion that they must've figured out how to amplify the sound here, because when I had the whole house to myself, I could never hear all that occurred down here. there are no common vents that i'm aware of. any ideas on A. how to find out if they have any listening devices and B. how to beat them at their own game.
