Why should I Reject this bible verse and NOT the 10 commandments?
(They are both in the SAME BOOK OF THE OLD TESTAMENT and this verse is actually referring to the 4th commandment from Exodus 20:8)

EXODUS 31:15
For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be PUT TO DEATH.

do you realize that the 10 commandments do not even apply to you, and jews who invented the bible never said they did? its not our fault if you misinterpret scriptures. you can follow jewish commandments if you want, but G-d does not expect you to and will not love you any less if you don't.

and of course, once again, because of your exodus quote:

EDIT

click on my link and it will explain to you how you can misinterpret "put to death." the general idea is that non-jews do not know about what we jews call "Oral Torah" - explanations G-d gave to moses how to interpret the bible, which were eventually written down in ancient times by rabbis who feared it would be lost forever if it was kept as an oral tradition, and so the talmud, kabbalah, the mishnah, etc were all written to preserve the laws.

as far wanting to kill everybody, no, the 10 commandments do not apply to you (they are not even real commandments, actually, they are categories that all the 613 other commandments fall under) but G-d did give non-jews laws as well that they should follow to be considered "righteous unto G-d"... 7 laws. one of them is not to commit murder, obviously.

You really have to put the verse back into its historical content. There was a need to take a break, a time to reflect, and spend time connecting with their families. I don't think the early Jews or Christians had paid vacations, 9 to 5 jobs, or 5-day work weeks.

If you think about it, our bodies are completely incapable of sustaining seven-day work weeks without any measureable break. Thus, we could die if we didn't keep the Sabbath day or at least one other day a week work free.

However, one of the 10 commandments is "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy."

You have to read the laws in their entirety to understand this. "Kill" equals "murder". "Murder" equals spilling blood for ones own purpose. "Put to death" is used as the consequence for disobedience of God's law and order. This is perverted by extremists who claim their purpose as their God's purpose. There is also some retribution to questioning God's law. He says who are we to say His ways are not equal. If you find the Bible contradictory and offensive, stop reading it and find something you can agree with. I don't mean to offend you. I simply don't understand how this question arises if a person has truly read the Bible with an interest to understanding rather than confrontation.

Who said you should follow the 10 commandments besides the poop?

ALL of the Levitical Laws are null and void.

when Jesus came He gave us a new Sabbath a place of rest (in Him) not Just a day of rest...it says in the NT who are you to judge if one wants to view the Sabbath as Holy or each day as Holy...paraphrasing Romans 14:5

It's simple, as long as you follow the rules and regulations of the Sun God Ra, all will be peaceful. Just disregard the fairy tales spun by other religions. There is only one true God who's word you should follow and that is Ra.

OK-
When Jesus was put to death on the cross, he took our sins there fore the old testament rules like not eating certain things and sacrafice so we get to heaven were basically voided out.
God wanted us to know, Jesus got us there by his death and in turn we are to carry on Jesus' work on earth.

They are not different as both refer to GOD(Yahweh) speaking to Moses about the same thing.
Just as there are two similar starts to the BOOK of GENESIS.and other verses were things are repeated twice.

It's so complicated and contradictory, it's no wonder that people are turning away in record numbers now days. Maybe you should look for a more simple and sensible path to follow.
