That anyone has ever done for you??



For me, it happened over 20 years ago. I was a teen runaway, living in the streets, and I had no shoes. I hadn't eaten in days because I couldn't enter a store or restaurant barefoot.

A total stranger took the shoes off her feet and gave them to me. They were a perfect fit, and I wore them until they fell apart.

I've kept them all these years as a reminder of her kindness.

A high school in Ohio gives an annual scholorship to an "Outstanding African American Student" who is nominated and voted for by the students. Last year, the kids nominated and gave the money to a white kid, who happened to have been born in South Africa, and his family moved here and became citizens, making him by definition, an African America. Well, needless to say, the black kids went nuts and protested...whats your spin?

What is the proper order for a woman to wear a wedding band and an engagement ring? I have heard engagement ring then wedding band, however, I have also heard wedding band then engagement ring. I am confused. HELP!!!!

After long amounts of thinking I have realized that I am gay. All I can figure out what to do next is tell people whom I am close to. I have told two of my friends who are very open minded (one of them being a GLBT person.) I would like to tell my parents who are not so open minded. Hopefuly after I get home from work sometime or so this week. So does anyone have any tips about coming out? Please share experinces so I can get a idea of whats ahead. I'm in a new relationship and my boyfriend's sister, who I met briefly (about 5 minutes), invited myself and my boyfriend (obviously! :) to BBQ with her and her husband. I've met my boyfriend's brother and sister-in-law (who live next door to the sister and brother-in-law and will most likely be at the BBQ). Haven't met any other family and this is kind of a big deal. I know they'll all be scoping things out to make sure I'm good enough for the little brother. (: I am! So no worries there. But, I'd like to bring something as a 'thank you' gift for the invite. What's appropriate??

I personally think this is a terrible thing that would happen. I would want to stay in eternal happiness, not go back to the Earth, and face Life's Hardships all over again. God promised us eternal happiness in Heaven.

What was with that booby-trap in the centre of the garden of Eden? Adam and Eve were kids right,,,,if you go ahead and tell kids not to do something, you better give them a decent reason and keep them away from bad influences like talking snakes and such.

Why aren't they called colored people anymore? Or ******? Just because their ancestors came from there doesn't make them "African" Americans. That logic means that the caucasians are now European Americans, and should be called that from now on, don't cha think?

Why is a book written by man regarded as the word of God? Jesus did not dictate, and neither did God, so why do people look to a book when we can look to nature the creation of a deity for our answers.
