That anyone has ever done for you??

For me, it happened over 20 years ago. I was a teen runaway, living in the streets, and I had no shoes. I hadn't eaten in days because I couldn't enter a store or restaurant barefoot.

A total stranger took the shoes off her feet and gave them to me. They were a perfect fit, and I wore them until they fell apart.

I've kept them all these years as a reminder of her kindness.

Judy A., if you are reading this, I thank you for the shoes. You'll never know what your gesture meant to me.

The nicest thing is a hard one.
Here is a very nice thing someone has done.

I was TDY in Senegal, Africa and looking for a camera(disposable)

I asked the guard near an ATM for help. He didn't speak english and my french is good but not perfect.
He pointed me to a random guy walking around and said he would help me.

The guy seemed random, but was the town's musician.
He knew english from music, and took me into town and showed me a camera shop.
It took 3 hours to travel to town, I bought him lunch and we talked about music/life/religion.
He was muslim.
We saw past the barriers and acknowledged each other as a brother in humanity that day, I opened up in a sense.
Well over the next 3 weeks, I met him every day and exchanged music and listened to music, he played all the time. He invited me into his home and showed me what a real family was.
They had 22 people living in one house.
He show me life. To this day he is a soul mate in a friendship sense. We are brothers.
I left him and we cried. He was a true friend, he had passion for life and passed it to me. The details are huge but too much for this text.

The nicest thing was when I found out God had a wonderful plan for my young life. I just thank God for the many blessings in my life. That's the nicest thing, knowing I have a wonderful God on my side. Also another nice actually wonderful thing that someone has done for me was when God sent His Son to die on the cross for my sins,He was buried but rose again on the third day with all power in His hands. Jesus did not have to die but He did and that is also the sweetest thing a person could know.

God Bless,
Brianna

Well this may not seem like much but when I went to college I was extremely painfully shy and for the first six weeks barely came out of my dorm room because social situations almost caused panic attacks. A guy who became my first boyfriend slowly over my freshman year taught me how not to run from others and be somewhat comfortable in social situations. I am very grateful to him.

When my ex wouldn't return my 5 yr old daughter as promised after his visitation with her, and I lived 8 1/2 hours away. I had no money at the time to pay for gas. Some people from my church got me the gas money and a girl I hardly new rode with me to get her at the last minute.

What a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing.

The nicest thing anyone has ever said to me was "you know, you are a good person." I was in college and collecting music books to take on a retreat. (And let me tell you college retreats are as much fun as they are prayerful, so I wouldn't consider this some great work of charity.) One of my professor's had an office near where I was working and came out to see what I was up to. When I told him, he regarded me carefully and said that. I've always tried to live up to it.

What a wonderful story, I hope you are able to get in contact with that person again.
For me it was my mom.
plain & simple she was always there for me, even if it was inconveinate
always listened, even if I was troubled with the same old thing.
always cared for me, even if she was sick
always loved me , even when I was unlovable.
Hands down it was my sweet Mom, and now that she is gone, no one can come close to that
Now some might say thats what mom's do, but not all do what she did. She really gave all she had to love me & I miss her!
thank you for the question

That's a tough one because all of my life people have felt the need to protect me. But recently, I'd have to say the nicest thing someones done for me comes from all of my Y!A and 360 friends who have convinced me to leave and stay away from my abusive ex boyfriend (I can call him my ex now, yay!)
A lot of you people have truly touched my heart and made me see clearly and stay strong. For that, I thank you all.

Very touching story,BTW. I'm so glad someone was that kind to you.
