I have been told on numerous occaisions that white/caucasion people are more friendlier to black people with a lighter skin complexion than most black people.

One white guy once told me that he finds lighter skinned blacks easier to look at than their darker skinned counterparts.

I know within the black community it is believed that light skin blacks are more prefferred by white people because it is believed that whites cant stand anything that is too dark.

I just wanted to know if it is true.
who would you choose to be your friend? halle berry or naomi campbell. Will smith or Denzel washington

commited by other religions? I find it hard to believe that the only religion that is capable of terrorism is Islam.

Those &%$#@* automated phone systems should completely obliterated ? C'mon now, you know you are sick of punching in numbers, and saying things like "I'd like to pay my bill" only to have the stupid thing say "I'm sorry I didn't get that".....What happened to real people, and real customer service ?

Joseph Smith boasted that he did more than Jesus to keep a church together.
"God is in the still small voice. In all these affidavits, indictments, it is all of the devil--all corruption. Come on! ye prosecutors! ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! for I will come out on the top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet . . " (History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 408-409).

Joseph Smith is DEAD JESUS LIVES. can a dead man help his church

Bible says

Mt 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

I know for a fact that my neighbors are continually ripping off my cd player in my car. They did it for the third time in a year last night. The doors were locked and I have a dog and a motion light. So this car is a POS but I am tired of them stealing my stuff. They are soooo fing brilliant that the last time they stole my checkbook out of my bag and wrote a check for pizza delivery to their OWN HOUSE!! IDIOTS!!

I have reported all of the facts along with the checks written to pizza and other places around town. What has been done, nothing??!!! I don't know what else to do, personally. I have a young child and can't really afford to replace this stereo every 4 months. Any ways of "street justice" or revenge on these meth-head losers? They have a very long rap sheet and I cannot take being screwed anymore!!!

Please don't suggest installing an alarm, moving, killing them, or reporting it to the cops. I have considered or done all of these..they don't work. Any suggestions?

I am curious, and would like some feedback about an idea I have for Halloween treats this year. I would like to make some playdough and give it out in small clear containers to the trick or treaters. I am the type of person who would still love to be able to give out candied apples and such, but for obvious reasons won't. I have tried to place my mind in todays parents, and think of all the reasons they may not want their kids to play with the homemade playdough .... but can not come up with anything. Do you think this is a good idea, and is there something this Grandma is missing about the fear out there concerning Halloween treats? thanks in advance!
footnote: I live in a very small town, so the big city stigma is not there, but I just moved here several years ago and am not well known.

I've been an Atheistic Agnostic for about 5 years now and I've never been happier in my life. When I denounced that God exists, or that Jesus was any sort of saviour, my life got a whole lot better. I didn't have the doubt or the drama that I got from religion. I lived my life trying to do what I feel is right and to not hurt anyone else. I know few religious people that live by these standards. I hear people preach, but when it comes down to it they often fail the practice.

I don't feel that anything is missing in my life, nor that there is any need. I'm not into wanting a father figure in my life and I feel that I am far fortunate than many others (religious or not). There is nothing in my life that has happened to make me believe otherwise and it seems that most people that DO believe in their religion believe out of fear. I'm am by all terms the worst type of Atheist to all religious people. A happy one.

I'm not talking about not being interested in them sexually, or not appreiciating their physical beauty, but is there some other thing (personality, attitude, etc) about women (or certain types of women) that bothers you in some way?

all in all my only goal for my daughter (all my kids, 3 others) is that she be extremly happy in whatever she decides to pursue. However this news did throw me for a little loop. She said she is not sure when I asked about her being a lesbian. She also said she did not think it a phase.my question to all f you is this. When one comes to the terms that they may be gay or lesbian does it take a while for you yourself to accept it?

She is our daughter and we are quite proud of her. I am just assuming that she is a lesbian and is having a problem admitting it to herself...so how wrong am I??

All across the world there is a huge conspiracy… For generations now the stories of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy have circled down through the ages, bringing delight to children across the world.

Then generally when the child is of an appropriate age, this illusion is whipped out from under them and they find out the truth, that they do not exist; that no fat man comes down the chimney and no fairy takes your baby teeth and leave money behind.

Yet the world works together to keep these images alive, NORAD following Santa, Easter Bunny sightings – all to bring smiles to children’s faces.

So it cannot be TOO farfetched to believe that the story of Jesus and God is one huge conspiracy theory that has been strengthened over centuries by the church. I’ve heard people say that those who believe in God are like the children who believe in Santa; once they reach a certain point, they realize it is one big lie of a story.

Trying to get to the heart of what people think racism is. I know the legal definition but I'm seeking peoples attitudes. So is someone a racist because in the heat of the moment, after a fender bender for example someone says the N-word. Does it mean they are a bigot or do you think that they were rtying to say the most hurtful thing they could think of? It that worse than saying that all 'beaners should go back to Mexico' in casual conversation? I already know what I think. I wan't to hear what you think.
