Simple, the news media are dominated by western people and they arer generally anti-islam.

Christians have performed their terrorism in the past and have reformed, but I agree other terrorist acts should get more coverage -- such as that in Darfur. Please call the President's comment line (202 456-1111) and urge him to use diplomacy to pressure Sudan into accepting the U.N. peacekeeping force. If the U.N. doesn't act before the end of the month, the peacekeepers already there will have to leave.

Please speak out against the genocide taking place TODAY in Darfur. Our ancestors didn't speak out against the holocaust -- we can't let it happen again on "our watch."
(afterthought) This is the first time I know of that people have used their own children as explosives. Surely this is a new height to terrorism!

Name a few of the other religions that are involved in terrorist acts. And don't go to the crusades. Also some group that claims to be doing it in the name of their God not just someone from the west that did something on their own.
Anyone is capable of terrorism, but not everyone is doing it. When did the Southern Baptists blow something up?? The Assembly of God denomination, When did they. The Coptic Christians in Egypt are they blowing up the Mosques???
Who blows the Mosques?? The same muslim groups

That's because the current hot topic in the media is Islamic Terrorism.
Technically speaking though, Islamic terrorism has taken terrorism to a new height... now combined with religious fanaticism.

My dear friend don't believe the media, Islam is against terrorism, but the west is killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims and it seems no body sees or cares. They will just keep talking about limited scatted attacks by individual Muslims who don't find another way to take revenge for their loved ones killed by the organized systemic Western terrorism but say nothing about their crimes against humanity as in the link:

No there are people of other religions that are carrying out terrorism. However, the muslims are the only ones doing it FOR their religion.

sure other people/religions have used terrorism. Ireland used it against England. The Right to Life crowd used it against abortion clinics. The KKK used it against Blacks.
But as for the present. The big user of Terrorism is Islam.

Because the news/media make their money by scaring us and telling us scandal stories. However, this only works if they can sell us something both terrible and believable. It is therefore in their best interest in create hate amongst the people for one group (generally a minority because they don't have much spending or political power) so that we (the people) are so terrified and outraged we accept everything we are told and feel the need to buy all the papers to find out other shocking stories and therefore discover how near the danger is to our lives. It's all really a machine to make money really....
After all, Bush terrifies me? Shouldn't he be classed as a Christian, Conservative, American, Terrorist?

Because right at the moment they are making the biggest asses of themselves and the Iranian President is making it even worse. Why would the media want to look elsewhere when they have the 3 ring circus show right there in front of them?
