Now, people scared of muslims, though all muslims or not criminals, but all terrorist activities only for this religion. Why don't, the leaders world wide call for a summit and denounce such criminal background people and criminalization of religion.

Lets’ assume that Pope truly believes that Christianity (Catholicism) is the one and only correct religion in the world, and that Islam is fuelled by violence and hatred (as per his latest implied comments) would it not make sense for such a religious leader to instigate, in a clandestine manner, a clash between Christianity and Islam, especially when the leader of the most powerful religious “nuclear” power in the world, namely, G W Bush, is in a position to wipe out Islam?

Do you not think that the Pope’s comments were a deliberate and clandestine support of G W Bush, and an indirect prayer to take the initiative and bring Islam to its knees once and for all. After all, history shows that the Islam is violent and evil.

As a Canadian, I can assure you that Americans are not a target for hatred. That doesn't mean I always agree with your policies..but then who would want a friend who did that...agreed with everything you did. I get the feeling from a lot of the questios on Y/a that Americans think the rest of the world looks down on them...I prefer to think that each western country plays it's own role in society. Comments?

I am a Christian living in an Islamic country. I don't understand why the Pope said what he said but for sure, his statement is proving to be a threat to the lives of many Christians who live as minorities in Muslim countries. No harm will be done to Europeans but what about us? What about our Christian brethren? Our churches will be attacked and so will we.

Another thing, are Europeans / Americans aware of their Christian brethren living in Muslim countries. If we are attacked for our faith...where should we go...should we tell America to help us?

Watching how Muslims react to simplistic comments by the Pope, and how Christians react to simplistic comments by G W Bush, clearly we live in a simplistic world.

Myself, I think religion is the greatest evil ever to infect humanity, but I’d appreciate your opinions please.

Since most christians regard christianity as a faith based on the concept of LOVE , and since most Christians loath descrimination and religious intolerence and respect human rights and feel regret for the horrendous actions of the colonial powers of the past. Then it would be hard to wage a crusade against muslim nation without waging an emotional/religious campaign to change the public opinion of chirstians . Isn't it a campign of hate similar to the campaigns launched by the Nazis against the Jews? Isn't the only purpose of such attempts is to provoke the muslims as much as possible, then record their reactions and display it in the media in a way that depicts them as animals worthy of being slain by christian forces in countries like Iraq, iran, etc?
