Were you afraid?
Ashamed?
Angry with or against them
Feel that an immediate apology was in order -or not

Do you feel that such scenes reduce our sympathy.

There's no right answer to this, other than truth,

I felt sick and afraid for the future

Truthfully because I live amongst them and see all the Friday demonstrations against everybody who isn't either an Arab or a Muslim, I am getting tired of it and want them to tell them to grow up!

They demonstrated against the Danish cartoons because the press here has been so government defined that they couldn't differentiate between a newspaper and the government of Denmark.
Fine! They are entitled to their opinion. Yet every week Muslims are slaughtering Muslims in Iraq; blowing them up in the mosques as they pray. Were a Christian, Hindu or Jew to do the same would bring the wrath of the entire Islamic world down on our heads.
Do I see them on the streets decrying such abominations?
No. The silence on their part is deafening. If i question them , they will reply " But they are not true Muslims!" Like that makes it alright to ignore it?
What more can I say....

I was afraid of course. I felt no shame and was angry. With displays like that, how could you not feel sick and afraid for the future.

There was a time when this country had to deal with racial hatred only but now, with the actions of al queda we are now also dealing with is a religionist attitude too.

I am not a racist person, I am colour blind, and although I dont have a religion, I would always respect the chosen religion of others. What has happened over the last 5 years has changed all that for me and I now find myself feeling hatred for the muslim belief. There can be no reasoning for the killing of others.

I know that not all Muslims are as extreme but I always find myself wondering now when I encounter a Muslim, whether or not they are are backing or would like to be the next 'martyr'.

why wasn't ur question like :
what was ur immediate reaction to the pope's biasness against Islam, huh?
i feel sick, Not for the reaction of Muslim's rage, but 'coz of people like u, who after such a biased statement issued by pope, are trying to put the blame of the situation on Muslim's rage (which is totally justified), instead of pointing to the one who is responsible for the whole situation i.e. pope with his insulting remarks to Islam and The Last Prophet of GOD (Peace Be Upon Him). though it wasn't his remarks, but he should have clearified that, his view is different from that of emperor's quotation, but since he didn't, it got implied that he is agreement to that emperor quote.
Open ur eyes from all biasness and Decide for urself, who is responsible for the whole situation.
its like u shoot me, and when i shout, u say, why m i shouting. pope provokes Muslims, and when we respond with a protest, u ppl think Muslims are unneccessarily make a Big Deal of the situation. well, guess what? blasphemy is a Big Deal for us, and we are Not gonna back down without some clarification or an apology from the pope himself (not his officials). Peace to All.

I feel that people who offend others regardless of their religion or country when they are in high office should at the very least make a huge unreserved apology.
Its things like this that stir people up and creates wars and bombings, they should look at any statement they want to say in public very carefully so as not to offend anyone.
I am not a muslim and personally do not believe in religion however that does not mean I am against those that do,and I also think that it is time to stop picking on Muslims because most just want to get on with life.
I think they are right to go on the streets and show their anger rather than start more violence, they are obviously ,and rightly feeling persecuted lets try to get on with everyone without putting them down.

My first thoughts were that the Muslims are proving the Pope right by their violent protests, effigy burning etc.
