if most people think about what the pope said and where honest with themselves then we were all probably thinking the same thing at some point in the last few years.
the only problem with religion is that it is used as an excuse for greed, either for more land, money or followers.
do we not think that when we all die (cause we all do) then there are going to be a lot of people sadly disappointed, so until we reach that point no-one will know who is right.
so no matter what religion you are you are allowed your opinion, and should never have to say sorry if what you say is what you truly believe, but we are not supposed to force our beliefs on others.
lets hope if there is some sort of heaven then it will turn out to be the memory of the happiest of your life which you can forever relive

The papacy should abstain from expressing political views especially relating to Islam and other religions. The Vatican's job is to lead its parishes through to the righteous form of Christian life.
I'm a Catholic, and I believe that no, the Pope doesn't have to say sorry, for one reason that is, and that's because Islam in Europe has been tolerated far better than Christianity has been in the Islamic world. For instance, can you find a church in Saudi Arabia? NO; it's forbidden by law, while on the other hand, the largest mosque in Europe stands right in the vicinity of the Vatican; imagine...a basilica right outside the doors of Mecca? Not a chance in hell, baby!
So why see the pope's errors and expect ammends from the Vatican, while there are scores yet unsettled in terms of social and religious rights for Christians in the Islamic world (where in some states they are second degree citizens). Christian-Islamic coexistence is one thing in the Islamic world, totally different from Christian rights there in terms of legislature. Read about Coptic plight in Egypt and then get back to me.

The German Shepherd, before his current job was the head of a paticular sect within the catholic church. I can't remember their new name, and I can't be bothered to look it up right now - go do the research yourself.
Anyways, this particular sect had to get a new name beacause they became very unpopular for the things they got up to, including kindapping and a huge amount of torturing - the odd bit of witch-hunting as well - as we all know any homo-sapiens with two arms and two legs is probably a witch.
This sect's previous name, you may ask?
The Inquistion.
The most powerful religious leader in the world, right now, today, 21st century earth, is the head of the Spanish Inquistion.
So don't ask me why I set the dog loose when there are god-botherers around. He's also a german shepherd with REAL BIG TEETH.
So I would say it's too late for him (the poop - SIC) to say sorry - string him up and sell his dismembered body parts to non-christian tourists.

I can think of a LOT of stuff. This is but a sample of stuff that the Catholic Church has and is involved in:
Supporting the Axis in WW2 (Speaks for itself)
The Inquistion (68 MILLION dead due to what the Church said.)
The false belief that salvation only comes from the Church or through the Virgin Mary. (Ever heard of the First Commandment?)
The sin of presumption: The idea that you cannot know for certain where you go when you die (1 John 5:3 blows that out of the water).
And here's the biggest accusation that can be proven:
The Roman Catholic Church is the Great Whore of Babylon from the book of Revelations! (Rev 17)

Apart for condeming millions of Africans to die by not allowing the use of contraceptives, no.
This current hoo-ha is because the majority of Muslims cannot understand the context in which the Pope made his comments, all they heard was the quote and not the fact it was used as a part of an anti violence in religion message. It is the uneducated mass, that are being kept ignorant by the sh*t stirrers, that are demonstrating without actually knowing why.

He shouldnt have said what he did, he implied that all muslims are evil which is not the case, its just a minority.
He also has no right to say anything about other religions when his own is just as bad.

How about saying "sorry" for helping to perpetuate a lie of epic proportions, that is the existence of a so called "god".

NO.
all he did was repeat what someone else had said previously and in any case it was the truth.
What ever happened to freedom of speech. Bloody muslims get upset whatever we say or do anyway.
