Why do people continue to believe that the Bible was told to men so they might write it down?
There is proof that the Bible is not accurate let alone true. It has been changed so many times by the ones who translate it.
I am not here to BASH the Bible but to question the validity of it. Using it to help you live a better life, if that is what you need, is fine but why tell others it is a Truthful book with no mistakes or contradictions. Why can you not see what is true and what is fiction? There is proof and yet some choose not to believe it or even read it. WHY?

A serious question.

Being a simple atheist from the northeast, I'm curious about these mega-churches (after re-watching the 30 Days episode - Christian/Atheist)

Are these mega-churches "regulated"? Meaning, is there an oversight committee that make sure that they aren't too close together? Do these churches form by consolidating smaller churches in the same area or do they build it and drive the other smaller "mom and pop" churches out of business?

Ok, I had some pretty shocking answers from other Christians.
I realize that anyone can be deceived, and when I mentioned this revival in Ontario, maybe you needed me to specify that people are getting saved and going out and preaching the gospel to others. I haven't been there, so I'm not going to judge them and say that they're not really following the Lord.

Also, my question wasn't specifically about that one revival. I was just asking what people think of revivals in general... the ones we know are of the Lord.

I was shocked that people were so eager to question my faith in Jesus because of such an innocent question. wow! Should we not encourage one another, as brothers and sister in the Lord?

OK me and the g-friend are both at Uni together in Exeter, been together for 2 years and she asked me recently if I thought we'd end up getting married after Uni. I was honest and said no, I didn't think we'd last a long time out in the proper world (she was a bit upset but said she understood). Thing is, we're just about to go back to uni for our final year, and I think it's worth us staying together for this final year and just having a ball regardless of what will happen to us afterwards...does anyone else agree, or should we just finish it (nicely) now?

when it's "shall we say" retained? I'm talking in the long term. Several farts saved in succession. Providing they aren't reabsorbed, could they be hooked up to a small hose, which runs to an engine? Like say to power a blender or other kitchen applience? Would this be dangerouos, as in possibly causing an explosion? What saftey precautions could one take? Could this gas be sold back to the power company? And, what about neighborhood gas? Would that be a possability?

First of all in a parable should you really say things like slay them before me??? Isn't that a little violent?

Secondly, how do you know this was a parable and shouldn't be taken literally? Jesus proved himself to have a temper and be somewhat violent when he went into the temple and turned over tables where the merchants were selling things.

Has been deleted cause it wasn’t a real “question” It was about the shooting that happened in a college near me – where my sister was at the time of day. Many asked me to give an update so I this is it. (for those that complained it wasn’t a *question* there is one in this one)

As of yet, the shooter was killed & another 19/f student. 6 are in Intensive care – 2 still in danger w/ abdominal and head injuries caused by bullets. The shooter had an account at www.vampirefreaks.com –which has since been removed but his “friend” had pictures of him (http://vampirefreaks.com/gallery.php?u=fatality666 I find it very disturbing.
